      This is really, really good... but for smoother nuances, kevlar consistency and really magic-sound engeneering, try Ivan Moravec's rendition

    Just my personal opinion but this man is a PIANIST in the true sense. The other competitors, although technically impeccable for the most part, pale in comparison!

    A pianists' pianist. This most introspective ballad played poetically without bravura for its own sake. Really enjoyed.

    Highly recommend to listen all of this man perform,fresh and firm but still love S.Richter on this repertoire.(Recording in Deutsche Grammophon 200th aniversary Chopin Gold Album)

    An extraordinarily MASTERFUL performance, but a little too BRISK for my taste. He misses a good deal of the warmth, graciousness, feminine delicacy, and then overrides the triumphant EXUBERANCE that characterizes the ending. It is a display EXCELLENT PIANISM, of course, but for me it misses the POINT.
