I lost faith in humanity when they broke up, nothing is forever and we have to enjoy life for what it is and in the moment. I still listen to their songs probably four to five days a week and it brightens my days and I always sing along to this amazing music.
Why lose faith? Everything is fleeting and temporal. Enjoy the beauty that exists in the present. Create something beautiful yourself

They were together when drugged tf up, that's not love that drug pushed affection, just Luke Manson family used drug and love as an influence, not real love when drug induced the whole time
The brightest star in that group was Jade. I love her collaboration with Jakob Dylan, Jade is a pure artist.
Count me in as one of the "old folks" that like this band. They remind me of the free spirit of the 1960's
It's honestly heartbreaking that Jade isn't in the band anymore. Like she's incredible and a beautiful soul. I hope she's doing good in life.

@@chaseofbase5292 apparently he was an addict in his ima robot days but unfortunately sweet jade feel victim to the horrible addiction of opiates/heroin. As a recovering heroin addict myself, I can see the sad look in her eyes in this video and know she was using then. Nobody chooses to be an addict..most addicts are self medicating unfortunately with extremely addictive and harmful drugs. I feel for her and I think Alex tried to help her since he had know what heroin addiction is like. But i think she just feel far too deep into it and just couldn't be a functioning member of the group anymore. Im sure it was very painful for the entire group to see Jade go from this bright amazing talented girl to a depressed, lost soul whos choice to self medicate with hard drugs ultimately ended many good things such as her relationship witb alex and the band. I cried listening to home the other night because it is so sad now to hear at the end when hes telling that TRUE story about her falling out a window and how deeply in love he was falling for her

LIfe is so very fleeting.. a gift to witness this .. hear it and dance to it and to always be able to turn it on. This is what music can do. Enjoy my friends..we are all connected.
I love how their songs get better with time and how their live performances blow away the recorded versions. Please keep posting live recordings. I bought the albums. I hope this band stays together they have so much talent.

I guess I'm one of those older people now. Great music, full sound, creative.... just makes me listen.
Alex, I'm one of those older people in the audience and I want to tell you why I'm there. Yes, I have seen many, many amazing shows in my 50+ years -- from Muddy Waters to Frank Zappa, Pink Floyd and the Kinks and Bruce Springsteen from a spot so close to the stage that when I reached out my hand he slapped me five. I'm at your show for the same simple reason I'm at a Dawes show, or a David Wax Museum show, or a show by The Parlor -- because your music is real and honest and resonates with me.
I discovered this band on David Letterman. I fell in "you tube" love with their style. They were coming to my town, Eugene, OR, and I planned to go. But, you know how it is...was a broke dog when they came so I missed it. That night I made my co-worker drive me (we deliver to 50 stores each night) to the McDonald theater so perhaps I'd catch a glimpse of Alex or Jade...and I did see the bus, people standing around. Didn't see Alex or Jade though. Fortunately did see Eugene show on you tube
A very cool bunch with originality too often lacking these days. They have substance! that is why older people would like this stuff like the days of old.
These neo hippie hipster bands copy and imitate what they see on documentaries and 1960'-1970's band imagery.

Amen! Im right there with you. At this point in life I search for music that is real and resonant. This band brings it all and their shows are like old timey revivals that leave me feeling alive and grateful and nourished!

They were a WONDERFUL closing act at MoPop 2013! First concert/festival experience and it had the PERFECT ending. :)
fun fact ... they met at Preston's college in Lancashire ... Alex was doing bricklaying and jade was taking a small animal care course
