Just rediscovered this video after over 5 years! It's so beautiful, and I love this song so much. It's so mournful and pained, but also peaceful, it makes me think of release in death and the end of suffering. I love the imagery of the shadowy figure, like the patient looming presence of Death, and your use of gore is heart wrenching. The image of you lying down in a pool of blood made me want to cry, it's such a somber empathetic image. I struggle with chronic anxiety and depression, and I always listen to your music whenever I have a panic attack, or I feel especially depressed, and this song in particular is one of the one's I go back to when I feel like hurting myself. Thank you Alethea, thank you for bringing so much beauty into the world.
