HOW I GOT DIAGNOSED WITH BPD: My Borderline Personality Disorder Diagnosis Story [CC]

Today, I am going to be telling you all about how I got diagnosed with BPD. I have dealt with mental illness my entire life, but it wasn't until I went to a mental health hospital that I learned I have a personality disorder. In the video, I explain the process I went through for getting a BPD diagnosis and how I know I have BPD. As a woman with borderline personality disorder, I can say that this disorder is very difficult, but not nearly as bleak as many people seem to believe. I am borderline, but that doesn't mean that I can't thrive.

Hey everyone, I'm Devin! I currently have my Associates and Bachelor’s degrees in Psychology. Before the pandemic, I was working towards my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. That was put on hold because I have an autoimmune disease (Ulcerative Colitis) that has caused me to be in quarantine for over 6 months at this point. I also have multiple mental illnesses (Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Dependent Personality Disorder) that I have been dealing with for most of my life. idk if to call it lucky or not ..where I live mental health is still stigmatized and the few doctors who even deal.with it here cost a lot.i really wish I had the chance to talk to a therapist .your video was comforting though actually made me laugh..subscribed

I had a really bad mental breakdown today enough for my parents to try and send me to the hospital. I tried to communicate how I was feeling mutilple times calmy and clearly. I increasingly got more upset and eventually I was told I was overreacting. I told my father to stop because I was becoming overwhelmed. He basically said I couldn't handle the truth while practically yelling at me. I left and went psycho. It got worse once they said they were taking me away. I begged them to stop and no one would look at me or listen to me. I felt so helpless.. I just don't know what to do. I'm terrified of getting therapy and not being understood. I don't know why I'm sharing this but I don't think it's ever been this bad before. I'm desperate to be understood..

I'm so sorry for the late reply, things have been a little chaotic on my end. But I did still want to reply and tell you that I'm thinking about you and sending you all of the positive energy that I can. I hope you are able to find a trusted adult who you can talk to about these things who will be able to get you the help that you need. Parents usually mean well, but they don't always know or understand the best ways to help. Again, I'm so sorry you had to go through this and I hope things are lighter for you now.

got to be real u got most right but so much wrong, bpd is an umberella for 5 min mental illnesses caused as a child, no 1 that has a mental illenss that happens in a later life over the age of 16+ will never be bpd if the world be4 that way ok, loving and fine. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr hate lies. plz and plz check a friend of mine. Anthony nemo borderline personaility songs. they guy did these in 1994/5 when no1 wanted to hear mental illness even though he was a government adviser for years and supported people online for the past 30 yrs and never takes praise or ever been paid as he also has mental illness. seems ever singer, sports personality or movie star say they have a mental illness it is the norm. he fought ever1 and still do. no 1 ever talks about what he did. ty even if u check his 4 songs and then compair to now and truth. he has always said any dr.frof,institution to say he has it wrong. everytime he has won, he don't have letters to his name, all his life he has had it and supported and been taught by the people who r ill. from uk to usa, from oz to africa, india, spain inface all of europe asia and the americas. no 1 is the same he preaches and diff countirs, religion, race, colour or even from 1,2nd or 3rd as we say countiris r, he never says nothing but he is there, he saved my live and his admin and mods on line saved hundreds of thousands, try be4 u say no we won't. plz. i will get anthony nemo to take any of u online, he knows and will agree with so much u have read from a book but will teach every 1 of u the truth and u pick the crowd that will see this live. just ask and prove this post is true or challange and sort this, fool him or he will just make u see what u have wrong
