Can't stop imagining him stopping and coming back for his camera 😄 Awesome video.
Koperlos same thoughts! Hahaha
He doesn't go back to go to the camera, the camera goes to him.
😁
hahaha same here!
yeah me too, wouldn't it be easier sometimes to set drone to follow mode? :P
@@Indygoflow1 Yeah, maybe in future we'll have autonomous drones with AI that'll make videos for us. But the question is if it is worth it.
Almost a year ago on his podcast, I remember when Kraig was talking about going into the 'hiking film genre' on CZcams because it wasn't too popular. Fast forward to now, and he's dominating the entire genre all the while evolving it into something more.
I am really looking forward to more of these. Best of luck on your future hikes!
I'm not disagreeing with you, but you have to check out John Zahorian, if you don't already know him. He's in tthe top as well.
Kraig living his best life just hiking some of the most beautiful spots in the world!
Exactly what I think everyone I watch his videos. He’s got it down
Someone give the man a medal for setting up the perfect camera angles and running back to get the camera to set it up all again. 👍🏾
Congratulations, Mr. Adams, upon making this epic trip. A job well done! My son, Patrick, completed a similar rim to rim trip several years ago. He made the hike in early May to avoid the summer heat. He is an amateur photographer. He took dried fruit, a water bladder, salted nuts, crackers. We are from San Diego, Ca. He prepared every day for several months by climbing a local mountain/hill here named Cowles Mountain. My wife and I dropped him off at 2 AM at the South Kaibab trailhead. He stayed at Phantom Ranch to rest for a couple of hours. Then he continued on until reaching the North Rim at the North Kaibab trailhead at around 5:30 PM. Although, it was not recommended, he felt he had prepared enough to make the trip in one day. He made it in a little over 15 hours. His mom and I were so proud of him...and still are! I told him then that later in his life he can look back with a smile at what he accomplished
Can always count on Kraig to give me a peaceful way to end my days editing wedding films by watching his lovely & inspirational hiking films
Man, just the amount of time it takes to hike...but then the amount of time it takes to set up a shot, walk or hike thru it...then go BACK to get the camera, then have to hike again, then have to set up another shot... Man !!! Got a lot of respect for you. Patience. Dedication + passion >
I did the rim-to-rim-to-rim for my honeymoon three years ago and this video brings back a lot of memories! Thank you!
Not only did I feel like I was there, but I wanted to be there.
Go make it happen
The sound of his steps is so crisp, I imagine this isn't simple to achieve
Don't be afraid to make these three times as long.
M -yeah, another hour of just unwrapping energy bars would be awesome.
@@tahiragibson6407 no lie, that would be a hilarious April fools video
Could post two versions; long format and "highlights".
Very nice cinematography. I just recently came across your channel after watching your Spain video which is great! You happened to show my Thumbnail as part of your research for this GC hike. Thanks for that! Grand Canyon is no joke. One of our natural wonders and well worth the effort!
You both have my two favorite hiking channels! You guys are both very effective at capturing the magic that draws people out into nature.
I love that you include clips of what you're doing. Prepping food, setting up the tent, etc. Makes it that much more interesting!
Former National Park Ranger here. What a fantastic video you have made. So glad more folks are hiking Rim to Rim at GRCA and posting their videos here. Those Epic bars look scrumptious! Need some for my next hike!
The guy with the pumpkin. Wholesome. I love it lol
I WAS THERE in 2013...... RIM-to-RIM.... an experience I will NEVER forget!!!
I love that you do little or no talking in your videos, plus you have an eye for beautiful landscapes. Thanks for sharing.
Perfect! Easy to get to. Absolutely beautiful scenery. No friendly dogs abandoned halfway. I can see myself doing this trip.
I've done this on the Bright Angel trail..Can't wait to go back. It's a place you could stay for years I feel and still have so much to see. Definitely a wonder of this planet. Thank you for sharing!
I've been loving all your explorations and ways of incorporating your artistic vision as well as subtly adding in sponsorships. If you're at all worried about the sponsorship feeling weird or out of place with your artistic vision, I don't think so. I love seeing that other companies enjoy and support your work. As for the format--- this one by far is my favourite. I love the cinematic and the explorations of your journey, and I also enjoy hearing your behind-the-scene thoughts, Q&As, and how you came about to this video.
@joseph Actually, the best soundtrack is to hear the crunch of the feet on gravel and the water moving along the stream bed.
@joseph who shit in your Cheerios?
Found your channel yesterday and now I can't stop watching, everything is so beautiful, and it's awesome seeing the logistics behind it at the end!
Yeah.. me too..☺ he's osm..
Thanks for sharing this. I am 62 years young and this hike is on my to do list. Like you did I am learning as much as possible. Was there last July and only hiked a little into the canyon. I will be watching your videos.
EPIC bars.... What an EPIC trip Kraig....Thank You for the video. I have been there with my family 2 years ago. I can not have enough of this natural wonder.
Crossed the Canyon in the mid-70's, in one day, on a bet that I could get across the canyon with four friends faster than the other half of our group could get around the canyon. We won, but were instantly findable next morning: when we stretched, our legs cramped, and we yelled. Glad to see that they have improved the trail.
I love how we can truly appreciate the sounds of your experience on trail with the subtle music. Thanks for creating and sharing!
It comforts me to know that tonight that guy is out hiking the Grand Canyon with his pumpkin. Happy Halloween to him and everyone else
its the best feeling in the world when you have some time to just seat quietly and listen to the sounds of the nature and you some how you manage to transfer that feeling to me . thank you for that
I don't think I've ever seen anything better from other travel bloggers. Bravissimo Kraig and thanks for sharing the “behind the scenes”.
Long day hiking, sweat dripping, need water........ ahhh salty, high sodium Ramen noodle for dinner. That was a great video! All of your videos are great! Thank you!
Another superb video! Right up there with the Picos de Europa video. Exquisite work. 👍🏼 Heartfelt congrats, Kraig!
Beautiful, inspirational and soothing. Your films always make my days brighter whenever
i watch them. Amazing work 👊
Hey Kraig! I've been following your content for years and your latest hiking content with the Q+A style afterwards is by FAR my absolute favourite!! I get so excited for all your content! You're definitely inspiring me to get back out and hiking again :)
I enjoy imagining the process for filming something like this. How much extra work and energy these videos must take! Great work.
Beautiful hike and awesome photography ❤️👍😊😎🎥🌎 thanks for sharing and safe travels
Great upload Kraig. Really enjoyed it.
Thank you and God bless
God I love these. And super cool to see how far you've come - I remember when Nylah introduced me to your videos and you had like 11K subscribers or something. I'm still a huge proponent of you hiking the Enchantments trail outside of Leavenworth, WA. :)
Loved this. I hiked to the river and back about ten or eleven years ago and since then I've always wanted to do the south to north with at least one night in the canyon. Thanks for reviving that urge.
Ein Film von extremer Schönheit, Ruhe und Gelassenheit! 😙 Ich bin tief beeindruckt! 🖤❤💛
Thanks, Kraig - I have toured both the South & North rims of the Grand Canyon, but because I was with non-hikers I did not do any of the trails; thank you for the great footage of your hike.
Thousands of miles away in southern Africa, How I miss visiting the Grand Canyon. Thanks for sharing
This is such a great and logical sponsor! And, as always, a breathtaking video x
Most beautiful! Your work inspires me not just to travel, but also to improve my videography skills.
So far, everytime I visited the places you've shown in your videos, it was a lifetime experience that I won't ever forget.
Thank you so much for your work, you're inspiring. Best of luck on your future journeys!
Hey Kraig, just wanna say thanks for your videos. They’re beautiful and inspiring.. keep doing what you do.
YES THERE'S ANOTHER ONE! Thank you from us all. A big inspiration to many of us travel filmmakers.
So appreciative of the making of and tips on what goes in to making these man. Never knew you scouted out shots and locations a few days before beginning the actual hike, but it definitely pays off. The timing and attention to detail on every minute of your videos is incredible.
Every frame is pure peace and joy. Thank you for bring peace and joy into my day.
Nice!! Did it in 2008.. but from North to South... Brought back some great memories..... Thanks for sharing and posting such great content... Very relaxing to watch and makes me want to get back...
Great video. I really like your chill, no talking video style and I prefer the info at the end on the details. Hiking is my favorite activity (currently doing the Arizona Trail) and your videos are beautiful and inspiring.
I lived at the Canyon for three years all together.I did that hike lots of time. Thank for jump starting great memories. Cool video yo. Thanks and keep up the good living
I've kind of been upset recently for many reasons and I've been going back through your hiking vlogs and they bring me a lot of comfort. Sending love 💗
I am Korean. I think your videos has given me tremendous inspiration and it will change a lot in my life.
Thanks for the video Kraig! Beautifully made and I loved the ending where you're explaining the behind the scenes of the hike
Simply beautiful, Thank you Kraig, for always bringing us with.
Outstanding video. Love the debriefing at the end.
Thanks for sharing.
This is awesome. Making me more excited to hopefully quit my job and do more hiking of my own.
These videos are amazing! I love to travel and miss being outdoors. When I'm yearning for adventure, I put your videos on. Thank you and thank you! You're work is brilliant! Keep it up!
My gosh Kraig these are absolutely stunning videos you create. I haven’t been hiking at all this year ☹️ I watch while I’m having coffee, doing my morning stretches and to calm my nerves sometimes. Very grateful for your work and sharing these hikes. 👍🏽
Thank you for your beautiful work and just being yourself.
Thank you for taking us with you to these awesome places
Your videos are beautiful I'm so inspired. Told my husband that we are planning a back packing trip some where just dont know where yet. I cant wait!!!
Back in college, Tanner Canyon connecting into the Beamer and Escalante was always my favorite trail in the Grand Canyon to hike -- puts in over near Lipan Lookout, and I've spent full weeks in the inner gorge only seeing rafters come by; no other hikers. No water rim to river; but glorious experiences all along the trail.
Pure Bliss
Thank you for slowing my week down. I've been restless beyond belief. Then I came across your videos...
Whenever I get my eating disorder under more control or understanding I am sooo gonna go and travel, see more of this utterly beautiful world we have
Sjoerd ˈʃuːd Hope you get through it! Have a relative going through the same ordeal
Sending you strenght and courage ! You ARE gonna get it xx
You can do it! It’s hard but my bestie has greatly improved their health and though they may not be completely cured their disordered eating is way better and under more control. I wish you luck!
Do you really need the attention that badly that you post about your eating disorder on a completely unrelated video... no one cares
Once you get started. ..
Your eating disorder, or drug habits, or drinking, even gambling will be taken care. Nature is God, and God heals,I am a proof of that.
Great video! I've been to the canyon three times and to the bottom once. Was waiting to see you drink the lemonade at Phantom. Hope you did. Never tasted better than having it in paradise. You helped me remember many spots, including how cold the creeks were. The night sky is so beautiful and what a place to spend the night. You've found a new fan. Keep up the good work and safe travels.
Your videos are so wonderfully composed--I really enjoy the tone, quality, and expression of nature. Some of the best hiking videos on YT.
Enjoyed that this was South to North and that you took two days and enjoyed the Canyon.
Never stop making these videos they are so different/unique thank you.
Beautifully shot Kraig! You inspire me to get out there and do more stuff like this. Simple, effective, beautiful shots.
The hiking video equivalent of ambient music. So refreshing just to enjoy the scenery without some talking over it.
Please do not stop making videos, Kraig. Your content is therapeutic and is having a little positive effect on lots of people's lives. Thank you for your hard work and I hope your channel continues to grow because you deserve it!
Kraig, thank you so much! These vids are great for upping the stoke factor. I'll be doing this exact hike in May 2021! My first trip to GRCA too.
Love love loving what youu dooo! This is what I'll be doing not too long from now, definitely gonna be heading to all these amazing locations!! Thank you for letting me preview the way;)
Your videos are amazing. Beside the content which is refreshing with no voice just quiet and nature, what I also highly enjoy is at the end when you cover “how to do this hike”. Keep doing this and thank you!
One of the better Utube videos showing hiking in this spectacular place. Well done !
I will definitely watch your videos on big TV and play it in the background. So peaceful and calm. Beautifully edited.
I live in Arizona and even wrote a guide for the North and South Rim and you captured the GC perfectly. Composition, Edit, Music Selection, perfect. Thank you.
Simplemente GRACIAS por compartir tu experiencia. Dios te bendiga.
Brilliant, thanks Kraig, out-of-this-world beautiful.
Kraig, your video's are BIC (Best in Class). I almost feel like I'm there with you. LOVE the music and peacefulness that comes with your ethos. I do like the few minutes at the end where you summarize and share your trip logistics and thoughts.
Hey Kraig! I just hiked the grand canyon, Bright Angel trail to the Colorado River and back in one day. It was one of the most difficult things I've done but also best thing ever as well. I just want to say your videos inspired me to go out and challenge myself. So thank you!
Hey Kraig!! I’m checking back in with you. I commented on your video a couple weeks ago letting you know about my 50 mile hike. I completed it along with many Military Veterans this past weekend. I filmed the entire journey for my channel and i have you to thank for inspiring me. Much love brother. You are a beast.
Who would dislike such piecful vid , its so enchanting , please never stop , hope you all the best .
Loved your vid. We hiked rim to rim the first of Oct 2005. What a great trip!

I've watched three of stories so far and I really like them a lot. Thanks for sharing!
Great video, and I enjoyed the Info section at the end. Enjoy Peru! Looking forward to watching it!
Backpacking Very inspiring, wish I'd take that step. That little stove looks awesome to have. I like these videos they're simple and say a lot with out saying a lot, Love it!
I'm glad you brought the recap back at the end of the videos, but I'm glad you changed the style of it. This video felt more in tune with your goofy fun loving style of vlogging while still keeping the professional clean aspects I subscibed for. This video felt like a perfect combination of your newer videos with your older vlogs. I loved it! Keep up the good work
I absolutely love your cinematic shots and all your videos! I can watch them all day! Keep it up, Grand Canyon is beautiful !
I love your content and the way you show it to people. The plans and videos are excellent.
Keep it up. Healthy envy. Greetings from Argentina.
Awesome video. Hiked in and stayed at Bright Angel in September. Such an awesome hike. Love the simplicity and all around beautiful shots. So well made, keep up the good work!
I really like this combination. Pleasent views and sounds at first and some chatting and vlogging later. Really good job as always Kraig!
Nicely done. I enjoyed seeing the beautiful places in the video, and in the well edited manner they were featured.
Such a genius when it comes to the edit - thank you Kraig!!!
I’m so glad I found this channel. Your content is awesome! Thank you for making these videos!!!
Excellent work! The dedication to the shot is exceptional. Takes twice the amount of work to make this. Thanks!
Really Beautiful. Great work, Kraig. I really appreciate your camera work.
