That Lilo & Stitch cartoon confirmed that this show alongside Recess, The Proud Family and Kim Possible are in the same universe.
Plus the TV show Fillmore is also in that universe due to Ashley Spinelli from Recess and Kim Possible appearing in one episode of that show plus Ingrid the Third and cheerleaders from Middleton High School Kim and Ron's high school appearing in one episode of American Dragon: Jake Long season 1.

I think having Jake turn into a buff dragon was far more suitable. The fact that he turns into this super powerful would add to the reason for his cockiness and entitlement. It's also just cooler.

Honestly I loved the season 2 design, characters stare much less off to the distance, the designs made the characters feel much more livelier, and the improved animation made it come all together for me. And while I know everyone hates the slimmed down Jake to look a but more Chinese, I felt was a good move. The dragon form wasn't just a form for Jake to go into, it was him, so having his dragon form relfect his human form felt right.

A live action Jake Long.... DON'T DO IT!!! Fantasy cartoons with magic transformations and visible supernatural powers are very hard to pull off in live action. Look at any anime that got turned into a live action movie.

The art style in season 1 was always my favorite. Particularly the dragon designs. I get now why they did it but still lol
I still think it's funny that American dragon and Juniper Lee shared some similarities with being chosen Guardians of the Magical World. However American Dragon was clearly a better story in the end

Thank you for making this video, it's a shame that the show didn't get a third season not to mention plots that were unanswered as well. You guys were right they show came out during the wrong time, if it were to come out a year after Gravity Falls the show would have been more successful and would have gotten who knows four or three seasons

*In a behind-the-scenes development only, Jonathan Long was, unbeknownst to the family, originally revealed to be a Werewolf had the show not been cancelled; at every month, he would go on a "business trip" to undergo his Transformation & keep it a secret from his kin. There was going to be an episode revealing this, but it was never made, despite it had a good reason to do so, since the series finale had the Family Revelation unearthed to the Father character. Of course, how would this be possible is a bit jarry due to none of his kids having Lupine genes in them. Either their Dragon forms keep the Lycantropin at bay, OR he was attacked just after Haley was born or conceived.*
Seems like a pretty interesting twist in the storyline since Werewolves only showed up in just a few episodes. With current TV shows being re-seasoned, it could be possible that Disney would re-enlist another season on their Disney+ platform.

Thanks! I really want to learn more about Lucky, Cadpig, Rolly, Spot, and all the other characters. It was one of my favorites on Toon Disney and I loved waking up early for the show. Watched it on the Disney Junior channel as well when it was on really early in the morning in 2012.
