    - Summary of augmentation
    - Why dopamine agonists are NOT recommended in the treatment of RLS, as evidenced in the upcoming 2024 Clinical Guidelines by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine

I was on premapaxole for about 5 years snd experienced severe augmentation which lead me to get off it. Sleep was unatainable though for about 4 months after weaning off of it and trying gabapentin which made me feel pretty whack. Now i am on Nuepro patch and am at least able to sleep with no symptoms. What are some other options?

As mentioned in the video, Neupro masks augmentation by being like a 24/7 pramipexole. There is no time when one is not getting the drug to notice that the RLS is occurring earlier and earlier in the day. This is why rotigotine (Neupro) is NOT recommended in the new AASM Guidelines.
