I just saw something that reminds me of my childhood. My grandmother used very similar methods and processes. Dinner at the table. The wonderful aroma and flavors of meals made from scratch. I can smell it all again. It brings tears revisiting those days of the past. I've done my best to pass this wisdom to my children hoping it will never fade. Bravo for this beautiful production and walk down memory lane.
My grandma would wear her "do-rag" too on the Sundays she would make her wonderfully delicious homemade chicken and dumplings that were the best and incomparable to restaurant garbage. Just wish I had learned the recipe from her since my dad didn't allow cooking at home and insisted we dined out for every meal, every day. Needless to say, I hate dining out as an adult.

Staying with them for a couple weeks, (of course making sure you pay your way and do your part, not freeloading), learning about their (and teaching them yours) food, culture, family life, day to day activities, special celebrations, what makes them who they are and allowing that to become part of you that you take and share everywhere you go. That’s how’d I would like to live out the rest of my life. Sharing knowledge, love, fun, admiration and joy with people from all over the world, even in the most remote corners.

I love this simple way of life - don't get me wrong I know its hard work - but it is very rewarding, the food, the location, the people involved what's not to like keep them coming !
In the USA, if we ever loose power on a mass scale or have some sort of event that sets us back to pioneer times, most people are going to die. Very few have the patience to do so much work to make/create one hotdog meal like this and even less to watch a 30 minute video to think about how it could be done. Once the boxed meals and cans of ready to eat foods are gone, they'll starve. Bravo lady for your hard work and beautiful example of how living a self sustaining life used to be and still can be done.

So amazing what a humble Ukrainian woman can create with even more humble ingredients into a feast fit for royalty. The kettle fried pomme frites looked amazing and with her homemade mayo were no doubt fabulous. The silence in the art of cooking reminds me of watching my grandmother cooking and learning from watching the meal preparation process. There is a beauty in her videos, not only fresh food preparation; I am impressed with her hard work. Embarrassed to admit but often I find myself choosing the ubiquitous fast food over a healthier homemade meal at home. I wish she were my neighbor so that I can help her eat all that food if indeed she lives alone.
If i could find surroundings like that, I'd move there like yesterday. Beautiful mountains, soothing river, it's just tranquility all over. She is truly amazing.

Here in Argentina they are called choripán and the chorizos are cooked on the grill and as a dressing we add criolla sauce and spicy sauce (it depends on each person's taste).

In the USA, if we ever loose power on a mass scale or have some sort of event that sets us back to pioneer times, most people are going to die. Very few have the patience to do so much work to make/create one hotdog meal like this and even less to watch a 30 minute video to think about how it could be done. Once the boxed meals and cans of ready to eat foods are gone, they'll starve. Bravo lady for your hard work and beautiful example of how living a self sustaining life used to be and still can be done.
Absolutely everything is made from scratch. You have to be very talented to do it that way. Looks delicious.

So amazing what a humble Ukrainian woman can create with even more humble ingredients into a feast fit for royalty. The kettle fried pomme frites looked amazing and with her homemade mayo were no doubt fabulous. Without MIGs, Hindgunships, and T-72s terrorizing the neighborhood it reminded me of the Allegheny Mountains!!! Just good old homestead life and cooking!

My Father was from Lithuania. His family cooked like this when we had a Farm in the mountains of West Virginia, USA. So many memories. Had no idea that you are from Ukraine until I finished the video. The Carrots, Cabbage, Potatoes, cucumbers… all that was missing was BEETS. We Love our BEETS! 🥰

The silence in the art of cooking reminds me of watching my grandmother cooking and learning from watching the meal preparation process. There is a beauty in her videos, not only fresh food preparation; I am impressed with her hard work. Embarrassed to admit but often I find myself choosing the ubiquitous fast food over a healthier homemade meal at home. I wish she were my neighbor so that I can help her eat all that food if indeed she lives alone.
She is an incredible chef! I love how she uses everything around her! Lucky people that get to eat!
