20 bucks says the tigarcat is still pulling trees today. The timberpro is setting somewhere with grass growing around it

Nice skidder. I like the fact that it has outboard planitaries, a rarity today. But the grapple cylinders appear a tad weak. A JD748 would have easily closed the bundle without dropping it to re-grip it.

748 wouldn’t drag as much though but I agree with u

I used to own one of these I liked it but it wasn't very practical for what we do (smaller thinning and select cut jobs) but it did help that this skidder could pull double what a smaller one could

Given I don't think Timberpro don't make these things anymore I guess the Tigercat 635 6-wheeler biggest anyone builds currently and probably into the future. I don't think it'll be long before John Deere gets on the 6-wheeler bandwagon but it gets to a point where the skidder can be too big and cumbersome for certain applications. We have two Tigercat 635D machines and they're good to a point, but often we still have to bring in a second skidder to help out when pulling gets long or production gets too easy for the harvesters as they can't keep up 100% of the time on their own (on a single shift).

Hell keeping up with the 630e can be a pain with the right operator and ground conditions. John deere made a prototype last year they had some crews try. Dont know how it did. Either way Tigercat seems to be the way for crews down in the southeast. We are alm Tigercat and one John Deere.
