Paramount+ has seen some big changes recently, including the integration of Showtime into the streaming service. What was once known as the "Premium" plan is now called "Paramount+ with Showtime" and includes all the movies and TV shows from Showtime together with Paramount+ in the same app.

Paramount+ is nothing like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video or CZcams. It doesn't remember the last show you were watching, so you'll have to search for that show again every time you return. It doesn't even remember what part of a show you were watching, so you'll constantly be rewinding or fast forwarding, trying to find the position you last watched. You'll see "optimising" before a video loads and you'll have to wait up to 10 seconds sometimes for a show to load. A lot of the time, the video just turns black mid-episode with a technical error message. The only way around this is to refresh the page, search for that show again, then you'll have to re-find the position of the show you were watching. It can be quite frustrating when this happens 5 or 6 times in a single episode.
I don't have issues like the ones you mentioned. I'm always able to easily return to the shows I was prev watching (I don't know if it helps that I've added many of these to "My List" as favorities?) - and the app always returns to the exact same spot I left off at (*sometimes they try to throw in a few extra commercials, if you have the Essential plan like I do). I would contact PP CS for further help.
That is not even true. The shows restart 10 sec before you stopped watching. And there’s a list with all the shows you watched lately

You are right. Unless they improve on the Star Trek series I will probably cancel my service, it's not worth the frustrations. Glad I have my backup DVD's of STTOS, ST next gen and ST Ds9 and the TOS movies and TNG movies.
The live tv section doesnt have adds. If you pay for the premium option, it just shows the paramount plus logo with some background music. Its nice 😌 👌
Paramount+ also gives a 25% military/veteran discount.
Question why don't my Paramount premium Plus don't stream in 4k or HDR or Dolby vision
You can not use if offline. It wont even open giving the message saying you can try again when service resumes. So you can not download and watch offline

How the heck device sign up for the paramount Essential plan
Paramount+ has all of my childhood nickelodeon shows both animated and live action.

is the library the same for the subscription through hulu as the standalone library? i cant seem to sign into the standalone site with my hulu credentials and the library on hulu isnt as easy to use as paramounts site.
Hey good question. I’m actually preparing a video about this. So this past week the “Showtime” add-on through Hulu (and other places that previously offered Showtime like CZcams TV) rebranded as “Paramount+ with Showtime.” But it’s looking like the Paramount+ shows you can watch through Hulu are just a tiny fraction of what’s in the Paramount+ app. So no- not the same.
I’ve also had trouble logging in to Paramount+ with my Hulu credentials and have been in contact with their customer service team. Still waiting on a resolution on this but I’ll keep you updated.
Okay so the video is up. After I contacted the Paramount+ customer service team, I was able to get the issue fixed and log into Paramount+ with the Hulu credentials. If you're still having the same problem, too, I'd recommend reaching out to their customer support team (although to be honest, it was kind of a long and painful process). Will we have to go to the website and differentiate/specify the separate accounts? Or, should an existing Paramount Plus Essential account be available with appropriate login, without disturbing Paramount Plus Showtime service?
Yes, and it's free if you have a Walmart+ subscription.

From the homepage on the Paramount Plus website, click “Try It Free.” On the next page select either “Monthly” or “Annual.” Scroll until you see “Paramount+ Essential.” Click on “Continue with Free Trial.” Hope this helps!

What is the best streaming service to watch old classic tv shows from the 70s 80s and 90s?
A number of the free streaming services (Pluto, Freevee, Tubi, etc.) offer some of the older sitcoms.

One of the extremely cool features of Paramount Plus Showtime is a live stream of the Showtime linear channels in-app. I wish Max would use that feature for themselves.
Ya was gonna metlnti9n they have the cable, satellite 🛰 channels for showtime an your local cbs running 24 7, along eith cbs news an a cbs sports as well.
Other apps don't have this. Not netflix, hulu ( unless you get the 60 dollar a month live TV pack) Disney plus, peacock, max, or Apple tv an prime..
@@diebolicallgamin8996 David Zaslav has mentioned wanting to bring news and sports to Max. Yes. Do that, plus live stream HBO and Discovery programming on the app. Bring AEW Pay Per View wrestling to the app, live streaming and then generally available going forward. WWE already does that on Peacock Premium Plus. Anything. Anything they can use for the app that they own they should use. It’s not about what the owners want to sell or exhibit. It’s about what the customers want to buy and watch.
The worst AP service out of all of them , the shows are great but when commercial comes it switchest too quick makes a blur, once the commercial is done it resets to the beginning of the scene before thenfirst commercial and you have to fast forward every time, if you accidently press the wrong button you have to watch commercials again , maybe they did this so you get no commercial version?
I’ve actually never used Paramount, but I do hope to one day. If it’s just as good as it looks, then there’s hope for me.

Unless youre into star trek its definitely not worth it. Theres been nothing but problems with streaming shows its absolutely horrendous. I cant emphasize enough to not purchase paramount plus

You’ll regret it. This streaming service sucks. It freezes nonstop. An hour show will take 65-70 minutes to watch because it freezes so much. Truly the worst streaming service out there.

The PPV games still have to be purchased through the Showtime app or on the Showtime website but I BELIEVE that will change by the end of the year.
We live quite far from local stations so we subscribe to just the basic Paramount Plus without Showtime. This way we get live local CBS news
Only stuff on paramount plus is content from networks paramount and CBS studios owns. As well mission impossible and original content however they lost streaming rights to certain films which there studio made shrinking selection slightly like star trek films to MAX.
Can you make an update on Paramount+ , including current hits and important content like March Madness and NFL. And please don’t forget upcoming hits people don’t know about

Only if Tom cruise fan or star trek series fans or like cbs studios content or content from any tv network they own. Film selection decent but don’t expect star trek films which on max to go back to paramount any time soon. CBS recently acquired in addition to showtime a bunch other networks including nickelodeon with 2 tons of nostalgic content.
On,y if got content you want to watch and interested in nickelodeon, nostalgic content and shows from showtime and there original shows and films and revivals of select shows.
I signed up. I paid….. only to be hit with effing commercial after commercial after commercial!!! If you like watching back to back to back to back 30 second commercial yep sign up … pay and enjoy their effing commercials
The only thing that really pisses me off is that they don't carry full seasons or even history of some shows for seemingly no reason, like NCIS LA for example. they have all the other NCIS shows, but not LA. The worst thing is how they have totally destroyed the Star Trek franchise. They've done nothing but destroy the legacy. With crap shows and unrealistic BS unlike the Gene Rodenberry legacy of a scientific reality base.

I am very upset with paramount. +. I am a big Star trek fan. Why did paramount take away the original series and next generation movies. I am reevaluating my subscription. I like the convenience of going to the app and watching one of those movies. The quality of the new star trek show are poor. Only get 10 episodes per season. Where the TNG, DS9 and Voyager the average was 26. Only got 3 seasons of Picard, which the last one was the only good season. Discovery only 5 seasons. How many will Strange New Worlds? Never know when the new show will be released. They said Discovery season 5 will be released in January. Now it Feb or March.

Is there any streaming service for under $40 per month that has Fox News, Fox Business or Bloomberg, a few sports channels and discovery, history and some retro tv/movie channels like GetTV or INSP? Please don't suggest Sling. They only offer liberal news networks.
Sling's Blue Plan at $40 is the cheapest way to get Fox News. "Fox Nation" is only $5.99/mo but doesn't offer the same live feed that you get with cable, although it does offer Tucker Carlson's documentary on testicle tanning (at least before his firing). Your only options besides Sling to get full access to Fox News would be Hulu + Live TV, Fubo, Vidgo, DirecTV Stream, and CZcams TV, all of which cost at least $70 per month. But mostly I'd recommend taking a good, hard look in the mirror and asking yourself why the "news" company that just had to pay $787 million for knowingly spreading lies about the election in the largest defamation case in history is the source you trust as the arbitrator of truth.

Paramount carries a small number of movies that would be cool to watch except for the streaming / viewing problems. movies . Keep getting black total garbage screens when watching movies making it useless. HORRIBLE . Not any other service has had these problems.
Paramount plus is terrible. Lips not in synch with sound. Huge lag. Unable to watch. Terrible.
Not Paramount + fault it's whatever streaming item your using! Like the TV app or a Xbox or Playstation. Wish people knew this makes a big difference! Also your internet example, wi fi or wired. 🤦♂️

Because of Paramount's boneheaded decision to renew Alex KLUTZman's Star Trek contract, I now refuse to give Paramount another dime of my money. I wanted to see the new D&D movie, but I boycotted it. I would rather resort to the "High Seas", rather than spend my money on Paramount products/services.
With the fact that Yellowstone season 5 has been hacked into two pieces with almost a year between them is absolutely terrible. We gave up our membership because of the ridiculous wait times. Never again.
There is NOTHING about paramount plus that's even REMOTELY worth $11.99 a month
