i was djing once and the bouncer came up and said "right that's it, no more music" and he took the cartridges off the arms and walked off. i took the head phones out of the in and plugged them into the mic jack and started beat boxing, the bouncer came running back looking baffled.

Yes. One side is the slippery side and the other side is the regular felt side. It's designed to be a 2 in 1 product where you would have the regular slip mat and the plastic in one.

" anything can be an instrument " I did put sleeve under my slipmatt for that expert glide. I listened and put my weight heavy side forth ahead. control contact lubricant , Im take some shots into fader opening . put pin onto fader condom . thanks for reply comment in advance your my top ten for scratch legends grand masters. there you go.
I believe it was something about how dj'ing is easy, to learn to play guitar takes years etc but you can learn to dj in a few hours.. :D

Try looking for cabinet bumpers, they are small and sticky little rubber pads used for softening cabinet door and drawer closing. I couldn't see what Q was using, but I'm guessing it was something similar to cabinet bumpers

Hi man ! what kind of rubber do you put there?
I'm a beginner DJ, and I have a DJ controller. I don't understand how a DJ scratches on a record and everything doesn't go off beat, if that makes any sense. Can someone explain to me what kind of records (or in my case, songs) I should use while practicing?
find a simple beat, there are many videos of drum loops on yt for guitar players and stuff like that. look for tempo you like, 60 BPM or something like that.
What kind of Mixer do you use, and is it only compatible to certain turntables? I'm new to this and am looking forward to scratching and what not.

Why is the needle important? What's the difference in one to another? What do they do besides the obvious? Thanks!
Because of the amount of traction (forward backward motion) on the record and therefore the groove, the needle or stylus needs to be able to stay or ride the groove with cartridge providing weight stability and pressure. The m447s and ortophone scratch carts will burn your records (wear them down) , the trade off is rugged stability and pressure but increased record wear. The shape of the stylus under a maqnifying glass will differ between a scratch cart and a standard one.

The only Behringer mixer good to scratch in my opinion is the NOX series... and I think stanton is better than numarks TT...

Qbert isn't really just playing a beat from the turntable now is he? Check out some of his instruction videos about scratching and his performances at the DMC world championships.
It doesn't take a couple of hours to do what he does, it takes years of practice and dedication. Jus' sayin...
and for one to become a good scratcher/turntablist it takes about 10-15 years.
