Outstanding historical facts. Sadly, todays educational system does not teach these facts! Semper Fi
Tim is such a interesting and dedicated guide.I would love to take an actual tour someday.
I live too far away from there
One of my heros of Gettysburg . Elizabeth Thorn. What an incredible person. Her story is something every American should know. I wish you would have told a little more about the Thorns.
I am from Wichita Kansas. Thank you for letting me hear and watch this
I agree. Feel the old hard to read tombstones are nicer than new replacements.
I am from Pittsburgh, Gettysburg is my favorite place in this country. I can't always get to Gettysburg your channel is the next best thing
Awesome! Thank you!
Got to meet Tim Smith today at the Farnsworth house. Thanks again for the fantastic videos! You educate me so I can educate others.
This was awesome, thank you for bringing this to us.
Providing a commentary and reflections regarding the citizens affected by the conflict. Some of the statements from people, residents I have not been aware of.Well done!

I'm from North Carolina love the videos 📹
This was a fantastic video!! Would you consider doing "An Evening at Evergreen Cemetery, Part II" to tell more stories?
We are working on something very special that will premier on the evening of July 1st!
My great grandfather was wounded on little round top 140th new york
Watching from San Diego, California. We are related to Stonewall Jackson and to abolitionist John Brown

Lansing,mi says hello. The wife and I have been to Gettysburg twice and planning another trip. Wow what a place
I enjoyed your tour of Adams Cemetery. Very Interesting.
Always enjoyable to view these videos. Tim Smith is such a wonderful story teller . He brings the past alive. In reference to the saying on Robert Gettys tombstone- my great great grandmother Margaret Schneider ( York County PA)had the same verse on her tombstone. Very interesting and informative.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Great video and a hearty thank you from all us who couldn’t be there.
I enjoy your videos. Great to have people like you who are so knowledgeable. I've always been interested in Civil War history. I made a Civil War quilt
Watching from Kansas City, Missouri.
I'm starting to believe that no trip to Gettysburg is complete without a stop at Tim Smith! 😁
And Matt Atkinson
So glad I found your CZcams channel. Such an interesting tour of the cemetery.
Thank you gentlemen for such a great program! My wife Bettina and I were just in the cemetery taking our own tour prior to going to see Tim speak about "Researching Historical Properties" at the Adams County Historical Museum! That was fantastic as well. Can't wait to go back and find these and other note-worthy spots from this program.
Spectacular program on the Evergreen Cemetery , hoping to see more from this site!
My Great Great Grandparents are buried at Evergreen Cemetery.
Great presentation, I enjoyed your content.
That poem you referenced also exists on a couple of stones in Old Tennent Church cemetery in NJ (which was a hospital after the Battle of Monmouth in the Revolutionary War).
Another outstanding shoutout! Semper Fi
Can't say enough about ACHS, made even more special with Canada/U.S. border being closed due to Covid...Keep up the GREAT work...From Ontario Canada....
This is absolutely fascinating, thanks for sharing this interesting information.
Great tour thank you
Enjoyed this more than I expected.
Well done and thanks!
Amazing and informative tour! The guides are so captivating! I can’t wait to visit Gettysburg again. I’ve been there once but didn’t spend nearly enough time to appreciate the incredible experience that is this town.
Terrific tour, Tim. Brings to mind the Smith/Adelman GDG tours of "Lower Culp's Hill".
Really enjoyed the presentation Andrew and Tim!!!! Plan on spending a few days this summer in Gettysburg, going to try to see it all but this may take several 3 day trips!
I hope these lectures will be made available on DVD soon. Any info on this would be appreciated by a lot of us. Well done as usual, Tim and Gary.
Great video! Thanks for making and sharing this
I'm from Gettysburg but tuning in from Nice, France. I've been enjoying your programs. Keep up the good work!
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing
Such an incredible video. I was fascinated with every stop you made. Thank you. This is a service for the ages.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good program. You held my interest all the way through. I am 72. I live up in the Hudson Valley of NY. I visited Gettysburg twice. Once in 1964 and the second time in HS in 1967. Never did visit Evergreen Cemetery, but it is very interesting Keep up the great work for the future generations.
So very interesting!
Great job Mr. Dalton! My son graduated from GHS when you did.
Great video I enjoyed it
Awesome video and look forward to working with ACHS on family genealogy.
Watching from Kentucky
Pennsylvania. Great job!
A great series of stories! Thank you both for sharing them! I had relatives in the 17th Virginia Cavalry who were there as well as relatives in the 3rd West Virginia Cavalry. Any chance of ever visiting the John Majors home where General Albert G. Jenkins (C.S.A.) was taken after being wounded by an exploding Yankee shell that killed his horse?
Of course, the cast iron dog was stolen. People never cease to disappoint, just give them the chance.
Joining from Paris, Texas!
Col. Cope would have been a good one... His commission papers signed by Lincoln are in Harrisburg with a relative, i was lucky enough to hold them in my hand. His relative also has a oil painting the Col did of Gen Meade in the year 1900. For a 121 year old painting, its in immaculate condition.
Thank u so much for ur video ,love cemeteries all are a part of priceless history ❤️ is the book available on Amazon ? I love reading and would like to read more about this cemetery and Gettysburg area 😀
Great tour Tim and Andrew - I was lucky to have Tim do a town tour for me last year. So, what's deal with the Jones marker - 'God works thru idiots and I was living proof' - I have not found anything on that.
Read the book " days of darkness gettysburg civilians" some of the people mentioned in the book are buried there. That will be my next adventure when I go back to Gettysburg to look for there graves. I have seen through pictures but not the same as in person.
awesome presentation. is jacob sheads buried in the cemetery?
Where are the soldiers Elizabeth Thorn buried in relation to the Gate House? Were they moved to the National Cemetery? Great program; look forward to the citizens photographs displayed in one place. It will be like walking into the 1863 town!
If you walk south from the Gatehouse down the Baltimore Pike 100 feet or so on the right are a few dozen CW burials.
Will you be making another video just like this one, I’m donating 🤗🤗🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸
When will the museum be complete and how can we help ? 💕🇺🇸
greetings fromcalifornia
My husband's family is buried there; hence, my headstone is in place.
If I’m not mistaken I think Amos humiston died alone in the town square of Gettysburg during the civil war holding a picture of his kids
I think that Tim is unstopable. Sundown might stop him but probably not even that.! What an asset.
I think I would like to visit (move) to Gettysburg before I qualify for Evergreen Cemetery.
"Nihil dulcius est pro patria mori" or "Dulce et Decorum est Pro patria mori" btw the WWI poem by LT Wilfred Owen, MC BEF (KIA).
Are there any reports of ghost stories at Evergreen? Dan Gupton I had relatives in the 12th N.C.
I'm a Resident of Pennsylvania

I think you may have captured an EVP at the 47:35 mark. I listened to it several times thinking it could be a faint scraping sound but no it really sounds like a young girl whispering a word like "Fanny" or "Daddy" (??). I'm wondering if I'm the only one that heard that?
Well ghost or not 😊 I really enjoyed this presentation. Thank you.
Jim from Wyoming.
Brownsville, TX
According to the history channel...Wesley was killed on culps hill
I should have said "Well done Tim and all concerned" -- I included Gary (Adelman), who I don't think was present for this one, but he's great also. My bad.
Why did they stop putting fences around family plots? Access?
Man id hate to be the guy mowing the grass there.
Hello My name is Deanna Simpson.

Knoxville,Tennessee
What qualifying factors do you need to have to be buried at Evergreen cemetery?
Oregon
Dayton, Ohio
St Louis Missouri
Robinson, Il.
I was the "666" "Like" on this video. Sure hope it doesn't put a curse on anyone buried here.
I Know Tim doesn't believe in ghost but a woman says something possibly Fannie @ 47:37 lol
Bahamas
Disgusting that they move them....leave them alone!!
I like the way you do this. But it would be really a lot better if you had Reenactment people to stand by the graves that you show dressed the way that they would have been at the time the time of their lives and let them tell their stories then when their story is done they could bow their heads heads and be done
I disagree I'd say jenny wade is the most famous buried
