Pedal n Spin Foot Cranked Washing Machine Demo

The Pedal n Spin washing machine is a foot-cranked washing machine that rotates easily using a combination of the principle of a treadle system and pedal system. It is a pedal-powered connected rod driven rotating drum washing machine system that is purely mechanical in nature. It improves the user’s posture, ease of use, and sustainability of the current Divya washing machine, allowing longer-term adoption, improved hygiene, and increased rotation efficiency with a huge mechanical advantage.
My name is Kai Goodall, I am currently doing my MSc in Electrical Engineering at the University of Cape Town in South Africa. It would be cool to add an electric motor and battery system so that it can be charged while you pedal so you can pedal to charge then use they battery when you are feeling lazy.

I am frustrated that there is so feew foot driven washers out there that is good and doesn't take up a lot of storage. This is not big. It is perfect!

This looks nice, especially that yoy don't need to paddle much. This is good as we need to strengthen our legs too. The fact that you don't use electricity because SA and Eskom is a problem
