- 2014-2019 Jeep Cherokee Latitude front struts and front brakes replacement. These struts are for the Jeep Cherokee, not a Grand Cherokee, are held in with plastic clips and the entire knuckle assembly has to be removed before the struts can be removed. While I was in there I decided to do the brakes as well. This is the best time to go ahead and do that.

Great job I believe the struts changed for the 2019 Jeep cherokee but they remove an install just like in this video

I did my front struts recently on my 2019 jeep cherokee. Replaced with monroe complete strut. Im not happy. Feel like my front end is alot lower and im already hearing a thud noise which from what my previos failing one sounded like, is the strut mount.
I have never had an issue with Monroe personally but I know people who have had issues like you are stating. They said that the car does sit lower and rides stiffer. I have had issues with Masterpro parts before though. I would prefer factory parts but I know that is not always an option. You could try swapping your springs from the original ones to the new ones and see if that makes a difference. I know that is a lot of unnecessary work though.
Thanks for doing this. I never have any luck with aftermarket springs on the struts. But that one looks pretty close! Wondering how is the difference in ride quality from the original end Is it true that bolt that holds the shock is a torque type stretch that can only be used once?
It is actually my neighbors car and I'll ask her if she has noticed any difference between the two since she drives it daily. Also, I have seen where some people said it was torque to yield bolt but service data did not say anything about it being one but I may call the dealership and see what they say.

Hey there first time doing struts. What do you mean by “rotating them to the same orientation” at 8:45 in the video. Thanks for the video super helpful getting all the tools needed and how to do everything.
I rotated the top hat (the portion that sticks through the body of the car for the clips to hold on to) to match and make sure all the tabs are facing the same way.

@AdnanPasic-ex7gz your welcome and yeah they can be a little longer due to the age of the old ones.
Is this the same process for a Jeep Cherokee trailhawk year 2015?
It should be the same basic procedure as this. They both use the same plastic clips that holds the struts to the strut towers.
What are the different sizes of etorx needed?
I only needed an e14 to remove the cross bolt through the knuckle.
What size is the axle nut again?
The axle nut was a 36MM.
Where did you buy your strut? I find it so hard to get.

You talking about trying to get it out of the knuckle assembly?
If your talking about the lower ball joint I'd recommend trying to use a pitman arm puller it works wonders
