I actually love that Silver is so amazed by plants. The guy grew up in a post-apocalyptic hellscape where everything that could burn *did* burn
I like that a lot too.
Even in a fixed timeline, there's probably so much technological clutter that plants are a rarity.
Real time fandub honestly handled his character better ("...Is that a rock? Fuck yeah! This place rules!"

I mean, in Silver’s defense, if I grew up in a world of nothing but fire and brimstone, I’d be grateful and geeking out over plants too.

Hell, it's like how some people from Georgia and Florida idolize snow, hell, some of them thought it came in multiple colors. All of this is second hand knowledge from how my mom acted just growing up in the northern states, so I honestly understood silver's ordeal and liked that they made it an ordeal.

Keep in mind that the time he was from at that point was alot darker than before when it was just fire and brimstone, when he returned after the events of Sonic Forces, there was no life on the planet, turns out it was because of Eggman's Metal Virus

The scary thing about Giygas is that the games never describe HOW he's attacking the party. It only tells us that either "The form of Giegue's attack was inexplicable!" or that "You cannot grasp the true form of Giygas' attack!" He is such a powerful psychic in the former that Ninten and co. can barely begin to process his power, and so much of a cosmic horror in the latter that Ness and crew can barely even begin to comprehend what exactly they are actually dealing with.
And yet, that's why I feel he doesn't really count as a psychic. I feel that Giygas is more cosmic than psychic. If we cannot grasp the true form of his attacks, how can we say he's a psychic? It's more Cthulhu than Mewtwo.
@@LegallyBlindGamer7926 Eh I think media in general uses the concept of cosmic widely differently, I seen cosmic power be described just like psychic power. I even play tons of games that pretty much just have those two be pretty much the same thing but it's out of this "world" so it gets put under cosmic power. Even in lovecraft inspired games and media, the power that alot of cosmic entities uses is similar to effects of psychic abilities and this is common place. Psychic power normally affects a being's mental state, which a cosmic entity normally does anywhere with their mere appearance or attacks. So I think it's fair to put Giygas under psychics due to how similar both sides uses their powers anyway.

Want to say for the record that the reason Neku's powers are all called psychs is because literally everything he does is fuelled by his imagination. Those cans of soda aren't just something he's pulling out and drinking, he's basically spawning them out of thin air with the power of his mind.
Absolutely, and it totally makes sense given the setting of that game. It just doesn’t FEEL very psychic IMO. Or another way of looking at it, EVERYTHING is psychic in that game so it kind of loses its meaning. You’re totally right though.
Good #1. He's so powerful that he can't even be contained in a physical vessal. Nearly all his power needs to be sealed away just to maintain some part of his ego. He doesn't use physhic powers, he literally is phychic power. Power without a body, ego or mind. And even sealed away and weakened his power extends and bends time and space.
I could NOT agree more about Silver the Hedgehog! Give this adorable dork the come back he deserves! I wanna play as him again in an upcoming game...Main character or even just a secondary character! Just do my boy justice, Sega!

Razputin has even more potential than we thought, as the little dude has stupid powerful psychic power in his BLOODLINE, his aunt was literally one of the original psychonauts and a flat out TERROR to the nation of Grulovia. Dude not only beats down his aunt’s fight instinct pretty much by himself, but he’s done everything in all three games… in three days.
I love psychic powers! When I first saw his top 10 spellcaster video and he mentioned the no psychic rule I wanted him to do a psychic countdown! This has been years in the making if you ask me!
That Number 1 though. *God dayum!*

Man, this Armory hasn't been open for over five years now. I cannot wait to gain myself a brand new power that was promised to me back when I first ordered the mystery box offer that the Armory had on their website. As the new countdown suggests, I might be getting my first taste of psychic abilities within a few hours. This should be fun!

10: A classic Barely made the top ten, gotta feel sorry for old Mantis.
9: A reincarnation of a Psychic Goddess.... Neat.
8: An Iron Bending Mobs spawner with a Giant Metal Suit... Awesome.
7: Ah one of the two lovely Mass Effect Ladies, from shy scholar to Galaxy saving Info Broker.
6: Outside of That Game he's a big dork? I'd be willing to try that game.
5: Psychic Ghosts with a Crush on the PC....Great...
4: Psychic Alien Bug Lady that can shoot Space Lasers.... CURSE YOU CUTSCENE POWERS!

2: OH HECK YEAH! RAZ!

I have an idea for a set of lists. How about a villains month. Because there are many types of villains: the mastermind, the fallen hero, the psychopath, the dragon, the bully, evil incarnate, etc.
Ooooh, this sounds interesting.
And several villains can actually fit into multiple categories you mentioned.
What about Slasher Villains?
Just for your commentary on Silver, this vid gets a like! Finally, the poor boy gets some good recognition.
1st: The lab joke makes its GLORIOUS return.
2nd: Mewtwo actually did get hit once in the movie, that being when Mew was knocked into the clouds by one of his Shadow Balls, only to return it to sender. Yet Mewtwo just shrugged it off like a light breeze.
I love how all but like two (maybe three) of the characters on this list have some level of past trauma that motivates them. Psychics don't tend to lead happy lives, do they?

I agree with the number 1 spot. Fighting against that boss fight for the first time gave me chills.
this might be the first time i've seen a CZcams countdown where the person presenting actually knows who Giygas is. that alone was worth a like, a favorite, and were i not already, a subscribe.

Mewtwo finding new ways to be broken. Pegging fellow psychic Mew with a ghost type shadow ball that it would have been immune to in gen 1 if it even existed yet.

I'm happy Silver made it on the list but also disappointed that Eveline from Resident Evil 7 didn't.

*Shiki Misaki - The World Ends With You
-As much as I love Neku and TOTALLY AGREE he should've been a contender, my first choice for TWEWY was Shiki. If only for her ability to use psychokinesis on her stuffed cat, Mr. Mew, turning him into a living weapon. Plus, her ultimates have her creating multiple Mr. Mews or even creating a giant Mr. Mew.
*Haru Okumura - Persona 5
-Yes, technically Haru DOES wield an axe and grenade launcher, buuuut Haru IS the party member with psychic attacks.
*Kenshi - Mortal Kombat Series
-A blind swordsman who uses telepathy to see as if he is Daredevil? Sign me up. Plus, he can use psychic powers to lift his sword and even other foes. Best seen in one of his fatalities where he uses telekinesis to smash his opponent against the screen a bunch of times before slicing them with his gravitating sword.
*Crypto - Destroy All Humans Series
-He DOES have his saucer and weapons, but he can also use his mind to lift objects, hypnotize people, or even make their heads explode and collect their brains!
I am so happy to see Weapons month come back once more and boy was this first countdown a mind trip! This is gonna be fun! These countdowns never cease to entertain me.

I always like your detailed explanations because that way I can always understand your reasonings for putting your list together.
For an honorable mention, I go for Akira from Live A Live, since he's about the sole psychic of the Near Future, able to read minds to learn the troubles of others, has powerful psychic abilities, the greatest of which is Judgment Day that has the potential to inflict multiple enemy units with a ton of status ailments and just about every debuff, and near the end of his story, he uses psychic powers to pilot a giant robot to take down a malevolent god that just happens to be one of several incarnations of the game's primary villain (though that's pretty spoilery, so probably shouldn't have said it but, eh).
I appreciate the EVE theme that plays throughout the video. One of my favorites from NSR.

Calling it right now: This weapons month will have a jack of all trades list.
Jack of all trades are characters that use multiple different weapons and can't be categorized as using a single weapon as their main one.
An interesting topic, but in previous videos, he’s confirmed that the next lists will be Shield Users, Mech Suit Pilots, Parasol Users and Gunslingers. Maybe Jack-of-all-trades could be for next Weapons Month, if not a list on its own.

Maybe Jack-of-all-trade elementists. Player characters that can use a variety of elemental spells/capabilities whereas the other party members are stuck with one (P5 Joker, for one)
Neat list. I think an honorable mention could be the Pipotron from the Ape Escape series (Pumped & Primed most notably for Western fans).
A mysterious trio of monkeys (Tron Red, Tron Blue & Tron Yellow) who were created solely to kidnap and steal a special disk Helga's father made under orders of a Mystery Man. When the disk wasn't there, they entered the Gadget Tech Tournament as as it turns out the disk was hidden in the trophy given to the winner. After they obtain the trophy (either by winning the tournament or stealing it from the winner) they smash the trophy and reveal the disk, but then are cast aside by the man once he gets the disk. After that they help the main cast fight their way through the Virus Tech Tournament (which includes facing off against a group of super clone versions of themselves) to the virus Grid Core & defeat him. After that they vanish. They have various psychic powers such as energy manipulation, psychic blasts, and various specials: Tron Gush (conjures dark flames from the ground that protrude forward & hurt any in the way), Darkness Scream (forces everyone to drop what they're doing for a few moments), Tron Cannon (launches a massive energy ball forward, hurting all it hits) and Darkness Stream (conjures a tornado around them that sucks in and hurts everyone nearby).
There's also of course Specter, the main antagonist of the series who's a super intelligent monkey who also has psychic powers such as telekinesis and mind control.
The armory has opened once again. And what a crazy ride we're on!

Fun Fact about the Alma entry and apologies in advance for this paragraph worth of info...
In the first F.E.A.R. game, we play as the Point Man, who is one of Alma's sons with the other son being the main antagonist, Paxton Fettel, however; Fettel went homicidal after Alma's awakening, allowing him to see the pain and horrors that Alma was inflicted thanks to her abusive father and the reason for this was because he linked with Alma before at a very young age, 10 years old to be precise! The hallucinations of Alma that we see when playing as the Point Man are Alma's way of trying to reach out to him because she knows Point Man is her son. The only reason why she attacks Point Man is because he doesn't recognize her as his mother, he only sees her as an eldritch monster that he thinks he needs to kill in order to end the nightmares.

The best part regarding Raz is that this came out a couple months before the long-anticipated sequel, which not only was worth the wait IMO, but also gives him a slew of new abilities as he tries to fix the kinks that the Psychonauts agency has among its chief staff.
You got your FEAR lore wrong, Oscar. Alma was put into an induced coma, gave birth to two children (your avatar in the first game and Paxton Fettel), and died at 26 when her life support was pulled. Still, she DEFINITELY qualifies.
That wasn’t getting it wrong, we just didn’t mention the having children part. It didn’t seem import to why she’s a good psychic so we cut it for time.
Raz being number 2 makes me so happy. To me he is the definition on how to write a psychic character.

Jack from Mass Effect? I'd argue that the Biotic abilities count as psychic powers. Just tech enhanced ones.
@@seanmcfadden3712 I don’t know much about Mass Effect, but my brother suggested Samara, as she has more control of her powers.
@@RomanVulcan83 Samara is awesome and, as an Asari, doesn't need technology to access her biotic abilities, but I think Jack is the more interesting character and, at least potentially, way more powerful. I think it comes down to personal preference.
By the way, with the Legendary Edition of Mass Effect coming out this month, it's definitely worth a go if you're interested. Mass Effect 2 is my favourite video game of all time. At least for now.
