As a United fan, I really like Mancini you know... he is such a respectable guy. Anyway, well done to our neighbours. Was a close season between us two. Bring on next season!
There's just one problem....City fans couldnt give a toss what United have achieved, any more than United fans care what Liverpool have achieved or Barca fans care what Real Madrid have achieved. People who sit around actually counting trophies won in the past need to get a life. Its 2012.
How easily some people forget their own club's past.... It took Anderson's millions and the most expensive side ever fielded in the history of English Football for United to start winning trophies under Fergie in 1990. Nobody doubts Fergie is a fantastic manager....but United's recent years of success all started with a new rich owner in the late 80's. Before Anderson's millions came along, United spent decades being nothing more than Liverpool's whipping boys.
I can't name you the past 5, but I will never forget Nani's last minute winner and United's comeback in last season's Community Shield. Sure it's never going to be as important as the EPL, but you can't dismiss it as an achievement.
dude it could have just as well been Bolton or Everton who was purchased by a rich investor. ferguson did well to bring Man Utd up from mid-table to consistent champions, you can't tell me that people won't consider his achievements in the long run when you look at City and how they earned their success...
@Sam Helinski Dan Voke said the truth here. City are a small club with no history. Founded in 2008 by a Sheikh called Mansour. They bought it not earned it like the real clubs like Man Utd, Liverpool and my team Arsenal. That last game of 11/12 season will never be better than the last game of 88/89, our last minute goal was greater than Agueros.
Hasan Rahman Don’t pretend those teams didn’t spend great amounts of money either. Why did they win so many titles? Because they spent more than everyone else. That’s how it works. You’re just jealous living on your past years like the United fans. We’re better than you are on every level.
