Welcome to the Letterman CZcams Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era. - Zábava
Wait a minute. I always thought this guy was Harold Carpenter the head Larkin.
I wish Richard Simmons knew how much he is still loved.
I was in the audience one night when Richard was a guest. He took a polaroid with Letterman and then ran into the audience, to show us. Yes, I was frightened a bit.
This was one of the best “Staff Memories” 😂
"Guess not." What a great staff moment reel.
"David Letterman sends his regards." Thanks for yet another great SFM.
This guy would always have the perfect delivery for these bits. Man, I miss this show!
These staff moments are a great behind the scenes looks! Great stories. R.I.P. Jay Thomas
I agree, and this one is my personal fave. Hilarious. Amen to your Jay Thomas tribute. His show on Sirius/XM was the best thing on radio, year in, year out. Fortunately, there are full-show repeats of them available on CZcams now. I listen every night.
My favorites was Dave Thomas & Darlene Love. I still watch both shows at Christmastime. It's just not the holiday without them.
As a contractor I’ve often wondered about the marquee and how much it could support. Thanks Harold! I’ll add every year around Christmas I was the Darlene Love episodes. I really like how they got bigger and probably better. The first, military and the last ones, still bring me to tears
I love Jay Thomas’ Lone Ranger story!
All of these staff memories are great .... keep them coming!!
Agreed!
The Kool aid stand 😹😹 I love these staff greats.
I was never disappointed seeing Harold on Letterman! Keep these great staff faves coming!
One Christmas, I had to rush into the Late Show green room and grab Darlene because the band has already started
In many ways, The David Letterman Christmas show was the highlight of my year too. I wish he would do a Netflix Christmas special every year-even without Jay Thomas.
That Tiger is gorgeous, so sad he had to be in that tiny cage, probably a nervous wreck! Harold these clips are a fun throw back, thank you!
You can tell they all really had a wonderful time working at the Late Show, what a ride!
Another great edition of Staff Favorite Moments! Thanks Mister Larkin. Keep ’em coming, Letterman
There has to be a part 2, 3 or more! They did so many stunts. Love it
The stunt sequence out on 53rd is a great example of why this has always been my favorite show of all time.
The Barbara Gains show should talk to Dave about Richard Simmons. Richard needs to know that he is still loved. I always loved when Richard was on. It was like Big brother Dave and little brother Richard.
Awesome. Thanks Harold 😁
Great memories
Here's the amazing thing: When the Darlene Love segment came on, my body just immediately responded with chills. I wonder what the explanation for that could possibly be, and if anyone else felt that response.
100%
It's called the electricity of live music. Even if you're not there in person, it's still comes through the screen.
@@debschaefer7820 What are you talking about -- my comment referred to Darlene Love's song. "The electricity of live music" (gag) doesn't typically generate chills/goosebumps. It was that particular song as sung by her!
@@arthurlevine1840 😂😂😂 Chill Artie. Don't ask questions if you don't want everybody's answer.
Have fun with your chills and goosebumps. (GAG!)
@@debschaefer7820 I don't want everybody's answer - just reasonably intelligent people. But I understand that hearing from your type comes with the territory. And obviously, even when brought to your attention so you could think about it, you're still unable to comprehend the point I was making. Good grief lol!
Ha ha, I remember some of these. That Kool-Aid skit was brilliant !! Greetings from Prague, CZ
This was a great deep dive in some memorable stunts, thanks!
Why would you feel sick just by carrying a table? LOL
I laugh so hard I cry, yet again 😂
Thank you Harold!!🤓❤️
FANTASTIC! Have yet to be disappointed by any SFM and Harold is no different! Love all your on camera segments Harold! Was just thinking I love how they telegraph the outro of these vids but always keep one for last and you placing the lucky penny and then clubbing that fellow with a shovel got my morning off to a hilarious start! Bravo bravo bravo ❤❤
That was great!! Thank you, Harold!
This is pretty amazing. Harold really did a lot for Dave!
I love love loved the Darlene Love performances too.
Letterman should have been rated #1 the whole run
Sooo good, love these!!
A true performer
Great memorable moments
Awesome!
Harold these clips are fabulous - thank you!
Fantastic! The depth of hilarity over the Letterman years is just remarkable. Keep the stories and clips coming!
This was awesome!
Amazing!
That was great!
That Dive in the pool.!!!!
That woman had big 🏀⚽️s...wow
12:37 Mandela effect! I've had this clip in heavy rotation in my brain ever since it aired around 1999. I've never laughed so hard. Oddly, over the years I've mis-remembered Harold's line as "Mr. Letterman sends his regards." I actually think my version would have been funnier, and sound more mob-like, but hey, I'm just happy to see this again! Bless this channel!!
I love how they gave space to all the working areas in the show. I cannot begin to imagine the complexity of being a carpenter, electrician, plumber, stagehand or any of all these important trades in such a show. Wonderful segments!
I love how he keeps getting little details wrong. A planet instead of a black hole. Kool-Aid instead of lemonade.🤣
Nice to see Harold! Still looks great. Picked a good selection of stuff too.
best tattoo ever
Dave and his stunts, Rupert G visits....the wild animal's bits etc
I'm tellin' ya - SFM is 2nd only to The Barbara Gaines Show in my book.
Way to go Dave. 👏
my favorite youtube episode so far
That shovel at the end !!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey Dave!!!!
I remember when Dave kept having them hoist Richard Simmons back into the air and laughing so hard at that. 🤣
Nice Star Wars Tat!
Cool that they care to get the opinion of the BTS Crew
Never missed an episode, yet I remember none of these moments.
So they didn't have extra supports for Audioslave who played on the balcony several years earlier?
I never new Harold was a card carrying member of the Jedi Order? Is this canon?
When those riggers come in, you'd better watch out!
How did he miss the Ghostbusters line?! 😂
Still bumms me out how Bad Stephen Colbert has ruined the show.
Comedy gold!
This guy was really funny too !!
