- When the Vision Venture concept vehicle was unveiled at the Caravan Salon 2019, Hymer presented a response to current and future trends in the industry and revealed how motorhomes might look in 2025. That vision is now becoming reality as Hymer launches the Venture S.
It has the Instant Loft - a pneumatic pop-top roof including integrated stairway - as well as the striking tailgate with its real glass Infinity Screen that offers 180-degree panoramic views and a sun deck.
As an off-roader for two people, the Venture S has a compact vehicle length, narrow vehicle body and striking off-roader aesthetic.
The Venture S is based on the 4x4 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. It has standard all-wheel drive and studded tyres. The colour scheme in Stone Grey or Sea Blue Metallic adorns both the bodywork and has honeycomb design graphics.
The rear area of the Venture S has the Infinity Screen made of real glass, which surrounds all three sides of the seating area. In conjunction with the felt-look wall covering it creates a harmonious interior ambience. When not in use, the adjustable table with its solid bamboo tabletop can be folded up and stored underneath the bench seat. The open tailgate of the Venture S expands the living space, opening up a yacht-style sun deck for an uninterrupted view.
Thanks to a powerful compressor, the pop-top roof fully inflates in less than three minutes and protects you from noise, light and temperature differences while you sleep thanks to an innovative two-chamber system. The firmness of the mattress can even be individually adjusted via the Hymer Connect app.
The comfort stairs in the Venture S allows easy ascent to your “upper floor” and can be safely used in the dark thanks to the illuminated steps. What’s more, the compartments integrated into the steps provide additional storage space. Clever storage and charging options for smartphones, e-books, etc. add the finishing touch to your dedicated “relaxation level”.
There is a kitchenette with matt-black fittings. Its centrepiece is the multifunctional wall, which lets you customise the available storage space in the form of hooks, shelves and containers. A drawer with storage for a chopping board extends the kitchen work surface. All provisions and utensils needed for on-board catering can be stored in a practical storage box system. Hymer uses innovative materials throughout the Venture S to ensure the optimum balance of function, appearance and weight. For example, the metal surface of the worktop surprises with its soft feel and matt finish, which prevents glare when driving. It is also resistant to fingerprints and scratches. The tile backsplash is made from a solid-surface composite based on powdered stone. It is virtually indistinguishable from conventional tiles in terms of its look and feel, lending the kitchen a stylish touch.
The wetroom can have an optional ceramic toilet as well as washbasin, mirror and built-in cupboards. With a look and feel resembling real slate, the new “Slate Light Rocks” furniture finish convinces with the unique feeling of real natural stone. It is also robust and easy to clean. A 120-litre fresh water tank lets you enjoy long showers or travel even further “off-grid”.
The Venture S includes a home office concept for anyone looking to combine self-sufficient travel with the ability to work on the move. The desk integrated into the side wall behind the passenger’s seat can be set up as an individual workstation under the flexible skylight, creating the an environment for focused, location-independent working. There are three 115-watt solar panels on the roof of the Venture S as well as six 230 V sockets and eight USB ports.
In combination with the Hymer Smart Battery System 2.0 and 320 Ah lithium batteries (not 230Ah as I say in the video) as well as the standard inverter, you could have a long time without running out of juice.
The Venture S is equipped with a mobile Sonos Smart Speaker that can be flexibly attached to the wall panels, so you can enjoy your favourite tunes even in the most remote locations. A projector including screen and wall mount - an option in a Hymer vehicle for the first time - is the perfect choice for unforgettable film nights while on the road. Pendant and reading lights can also be fitted in various places throughout the vehicle, so you can create the right lighting mood wherever you choose to relax. A well thought-out lighting concept with multi-level ambient lighting (including plinth lighting) makes the interior of the Venture S appear extremely spacious and roomy.
In keeping with its visionary credentials, on-board connectivity naturally plays a major role in the new Venture S. The vehicle is compatible with Hymer Connect - various components can therefore be controlled centrally via a smartphone or the built-in 7-inch touch display. - Auta a dopravní prostředky

I love the steps up to the bed! That’s a really cool idea. Ladders can be a pain in the neck. A lot of people aren’t comfortable climbing up one to get to bed.
I don't like ladders at all!
Cannot wait ....this is the one i want if win the lotto .. I've seen the concept couple years ago and thought this was one of the best layouts with plenty of mod cons and style

There’s no storage for bicycles but you can choose to put a bike rack in the back (of course that’s quite expensive as an optional lol)
Expensive bicycles probably could be carried between the seats at the rear however obviously you'd have to take them out to use that seating area.
It is a great design indeed and I love the interior however it is for people with an awful lot more money than myself. Even if I could afford it I still don't think I'd get it because I just don't need that off-road ability that it has.
That opening rear is absolutely lovely and will enable a great view of the camp-site toilet block through the drizzle.
It has a great small footprint with stacks of space inside but that tent is ridiculous in my opinion.
the people that would want this are not in the same group as those that could aford it!
With that sort of budget, get yourself a Starlink, external bike box, and with a bit of customization, a perfect RV ! 😬
Like the price or not, this is the future. Design ideas that can only be matched with a custom build. In 10 years or so hopefully all campers will be as well thought out.
I would always worry about security from intruders with a pop top open. If they could reach the pop top height, I assume they could fairly easily cut into the material walls and get inside. Also, how secure from a determined intruder in this type of campervan?
I don't think any of us are safe from a determined intruder. Clearly the walls could be cut with a knife but first the intruder has to get that high which is not that easy!

They would be as sacred as people inside. You never know who is inside. Could be man with a knife or a dog. And they will be trapped inside and can't get out of you get from the pop top
The instruder need a escape plan. They will the trapped inside. You can beat them up inside.😂

Sell your house and live it in simple
You missed one of the best features of the shower. After extending outwards, the interior actually swivels to separate the shower from the toilet. Also left out was how the dining table easily folds away under one of the bench seats. Overall all a rather poor and uninformed presentation of a wonderful camper can.

Perhaps I remember it wrong... but it seems 2019 version is better...
They improved some features (adding a closet was the most important imo) but I think the shower was nicer in the prototype, the kitchen was better organised, had a more spacious 2 drawer fridge and an induction cooktop with nicer design. They got rid of the storage under one of the couches and the grill sliding out of the other couch which was a great added plus. So yeah if i had to pick one I think I’d prefer the Vision to the ultimate model.
