How to colour Ivy and the Inky Butterfly by Johanna Basford || Polychromos || Prismacolor Premier

I will show you how to colour the first page in Ivy and The Inky Butterfly by Johanna Basford. I will show you how to blend a beautiful background, and as this page introduces Ivy, I will show you how to colour her hair, as well as skin tone and her dress.
I will show or list all pencils used in the video.
All the greens are from Prismacolor Premier 36 set
While the remaining colours are from Faber-Castell Polychromos 120 set
If you wish to colour along the video is sped up to double speed, but you can change your viewing to half speed if needed.

Hi Lisa, thank you for watching. It’s been a while since i filmed this, but off the top of my head, I only used the 36 set of Prismacolor Premier for this picture (as that was all I had for that set), so I didn’t do a list, but showed all the pencils as I went. Same with the Polychromos, I show all the pencils before using them.

It really is a gorgeous book, and I know you can bring it to life even more with some colour. You can always look up tutorials, as there are so many out there, just in case you’re not feeling confident. ❤️
