That is a pile of work that has built up over the years, but already you've made a huge impact. Good peace of mind, knowing you did your best to fire proof the place. Man, I love your spruce pole rake handle! Extra long, just the way I like 'em. Thanks for the video, Kusk. I really enjoyed it.
That rake has to be many decades old right? Apart from the handle obviously. Looks real old-fashioned, never seen anything like that even in grandpa's old shed, which was full of old charming tools😁
It looked like the wood you split and stacked was right back on the ground again? I liked to lay short cross pieces, a bit less than wrist sized, then double “rails” at a right angle to the cross pieces, and along on top of the cross pieces. I’d stack the split fire wood across the long rails so they were above the ground. Worked well to let the wood dry out. Just a thought. Courtesy of Half Vast Flying
love your videos. I don't trap, just hunt and fish. But I love staying at our hunting camp ,even if it's not deer season. your camp looks great and the area too. Any trout in the Creek?
A couple of implements to pull behind your ATV's would be beneficial to the clean up as well as fire prevention, farmers use them all the time where I live, they go places a big tractor just can't maneuver. Of course doing all that by hand is selective but time consuming. Great video, thanks for the visit.

I'm going to be restacking all the wood that's there. The cross beams along the bottom are coming. Thanks for the comment!
