I’m late to the Ranunculus party, like you Selma I wasn’t too keen when I first saw it, but I’ve just completed my second and now understand fully why this is such a popular pattern. It’s incredibly versatile as you say and I love the way you can use just about any yarn you want. I think my favourite of your collection is your Christmas red, the colour is perfect.

Congrats on 100! I guess the key to the pattern is versatility - yarn type and weight, sizing loose or voluminous, suiting most body types, as well as economy of yarn, speed of making, and so on. You described the process beautifully, and the proof was in the variety of your makes and how you wear each differently. Really helpful! And as a palette cleanser 😉 Thanks so much.

I really enjoyed seeing all of your Ranunculus's. I've made several and they are not posted on Ravelry. I imagine there is a lot made that have not been counted by Ravelry. I will be make my next one maybe next week. In 2023 I picked up 5 skeins of this lovely soft blue yarn that has sparkle in it. The color name is breeze. It is fingering weight and I bought enough to make the Bright Side sweater and a Ranunculus. I am going to make a Ranunculus in black. I think it would be stunning in black. I can see it with jeans for black dress pants, or any color with it will work. Thank you for sharing these. They are all beautiful.

I shrare your love of Ranunculus, I made 10 of them, 6 I gifted ans I kept 2 shrot sleeves and 2 long sleeves for myself. I can now knit them in less than a week. They make great gifts because they don't have to be so fitted, plus they fit all types of bodies. My favorite ones were make with Camarose Snefnug or drops air, both very airy but warm blown yarns. I have yet to make one in linen, i'd like to try a chainette linen which is hard to come by. I also prefer the iCord sleeve for your newest Ranunculus, but it does need the diminutions, I agree. Lovely footage at the end thanks for the beautiful views of the Rideau River 🙏

Loved seeing all of your Ranunculus sweaters and listening to your dialogue on each one of them! Love the 2 Ranunculus I have knitted, both in Lang Lyon 80% silk & 20% linen. Very recently picked up my Ranunculus WIP from Dec 2022 knit using Schachenmayr Catania, a beautiful Sport weight cotton made in Hungary, that I sized down; knitting with 4 mm for yoke and 3.75 mm for body. Didn’t like the twisted rib neck ribbing so have just cut off ribbing and removed the front short rows (a bit of a trial to do so) and redoing the neck band before returning to knitting the main body. Thanks for another great episode!

Congratulations on episode 100! Love your podcasts - so clear and positive in attitude. I like how you describe how much you wear them and the yarns used. I avoided the ranunculus pattern for quite awhile because of the photo on the original photo. I just didn’t want that very loose see-through look. Then because of the podcasts and Ravelry projects decided to do it. I finally made one with soft sock yarn and doubled the yarn for the body for structure. Love it! It’s fun to do the lacework, quick, and adjustable to how you want it to fit for the body.

All the sweaters are beautiful but the last one looks beautiful on you. The colour suits you very well. (The others too but this one is my favourite).

Thanks so much for this episode Selma. I have had the yarn for my (first) Ranunculus for a year now but been busy with shawls and scarves - just finished the Party Line (again, thank you). I’m half way through a Close to You scarf then I want to do Joji Locatelli’s Venezia as I have a gorgeous merino/silk 2 ply for that which I have just balled up. I have 3 or 4 other cardigans on my wish list (yes, I have the yarn!) but maybe Ranunculus will now rise to the top?? Your podcasts are so inspiring, please keep them coming. 🧶👏❤️

Thanks for sharing! Congratulations on your 100th episode. I am inspired to try knitting a Ranuculus sweater in Tynn Line and mohair held together. I knitted one in Drops Air last winter and love it. I’m a fairly new garment knitter. I love your podcasts.

I enjoyed this episode enormously! 💖 Thank you so much for taking us on a tour through all the Ranunculus sweaters you have knit. Such fun & lots of inspiration. I’ve been craving a black one now for quite some time. I think now I might just have to have to have to make it! 😂 This was a great episode, Selma!

I loved this Ranunculus exploration!! I found this very exciting and informative. I have yarn for 2 Ranunculus’ and have yet to cast on for my first one. I do not know why or what is holding me back…

Thank you so much for the episode! ❤ I have a knitting podcast (in Finnish, called Neulealmat) with a friend of mine and our next episode is going to be all about the Ranunculus. The two of us have made over 20 of them. So it is a highly addictive pattern!

Loved your most recent podcast. Having not made this yet… your discussions about each project has me considering it in the near future.

I made mine in a bulky yarn (which was not a recommended yarn at that time) but it's my favorite winter sweater.
