@@twlivinginudonthanithailand Tim, I was born and raised in the Country. Our village in Thailand is around 300-350 families. The nearest town has 1 Main Street and 2 ~ 7-11’s. The nearest city is 2 hours away. We are definitely rural. I am definitely the only Farang in the area. I have celebrity status. 555
Udon Thani is a nice sized city, it has everything you need or want. Besides that my wife is from here and has lots of family here. I have visited here many times and like the area. It is only a 1 hour flight to BKK and 2 hours to Phuket plus flights here are cheap to other parts of Thailand. I have been living her permanently for 7 months now.

I grew up in a very small town so rural life for me is fine. I lived in a major metro area for 40 years and don’t miss it.
