I remember you from the old FS2004 days. I subscribed to you from another channel of mine back then. Well, I see times have definitely changed. Well done, sir! BTW, I just subscribed to you from THIS channel.

Love your always detailed videos, Gvad, just a reminder, Komandogerat in Dora works different than in 109. In the 109 the throttle works as an Ata selector, Komandogerat will try to keep that Ata you set as far as possible and rpm is adjusted to that. In Dora the throttle is an rpm selector and Ata just a result of Komandogerat trying to keep the rpm you selected as far as possible. Different mindsets should be used in that regard, so you thought you didn't use "full power" in Dora, but still rpm were in the 3000 so max continuous anyway. All of that is described in each manual of the aircraft

Its just a constant speed prop, on takeoff its max in most cases. 3000 rpm externally looks and sounds the same between 1.4 and 1.5 ata, internally its a different story, like doing 3 rotations per second on a 10 speed bike, quite a different feel for the engine (your legs) between 6th gear and 10th gear.

When I 1st started flying the 109 I had some pretty sketchy takeoffs. Mostly by trial and error I found a way that works for me. I set flaps to 5 or a little more full nose down trim andProp pitch to 11:30 power set to 1.33--1.35 ata. I normally take 30%-60% internal fule with a drop tank, but I do the same when heavier.Idk if it's the correct way, but it works well for me.

As long as its within limits its OK, people sometimes learn a certain way and that is law. For taildraggers, theres all kinds of takeoffs, you do what you're comfortable with.
