The Xiongnu had little to do with the Mongols. The elements of Scythian-Saka and Hunnic culture in this Mongolian show is an example of cultural appropriation (stealing from another culture). The Mongols have not genetic or cultural connection with those ancient peoples but the Kazakhs and other Turkic peoples do. Shame that the Mongols decided to make a Mongolian show from other nations' heritage.

So people can’t even have other ethnic groups or culture shown anymore? Cultural Appropriation is adopting unacknowledged practices from a society. I don’t see this as Cultural Appropriation, I see it as them appreciating the culture, Cultural Appreciation.

+ All countries have extremely diverse cultures and traditions, I believe pinning them to just one is disregarding everything else. Maybe try having a more open minded approach when it comes to other countries and their history. Just a friendly suggestion.

The open minded approach allows for cultural appropriation these days? Perhaps one should value and respect culture and history of other peoples? Just a friendly suggestion.

Using Turkic culture., clothes and history and call it Mongol - is that alright with you? It is probably in line with the Western values...

@@KhanTengri-vw9ht Shared culture. You misunderstood…by open minded, I mean you should understand that there is a lot of SHARED culture between countries because of history, history that was created by hundreds of countries together. I get that you're offended & you're critiquing, but it's also good to understand the pov I mentioned above.
