Yes, the vinegar will balance the PH and help to get rid of the thrush. You can do this several times a day if needed and when possible. Let stand on concrete or a mat while the sole of the hoof is drying.
The best way to recover from hoof disease ...is to grow out of it. So, keep cleaning and rinsing the foot as demonstrated and ensure your horse is getting the nutritional building blocks in a daily manner, which are highly bioavailable, forage specific with a great viable probiotic package...Equine Challenge is what you want. The #1 complaint of Equine Challenge,"too much hoof growth" Many wish they had that problem. No horse...no hoof insofar as the horse builds the hoof from within. Mackie
After a really wet spring and summer several of our horses had white line. I used White Lightening, followed directions to the letter and each horse only required 2 treatments to cure it completely. They were all barefoot and vinegar did not turn it around. Vinegar is great though, we use it around the house, farm and bathrooms and like you do for routine hoof cleaning, anywhere we want to prevent bacteria and such from building up. But, the one time we had a problem that developed suddenly the White Lightening took care of it and have not had any problems since.
What if my horse already has thrush? Will the vibegar rinse help or should i be using something else.
Hi Mackie. My horse already has seedy toe/white line disease quite badly in one foot and mildly in the others. Will the vinegar treatment along with regular trimming clear it up? Marg
where did you buy the vinegar
Sorry was it white vinegar or apple cider vinegar?
