God this sounds amazing. Definitely better with headphones and singled out rather than with all the noise in game. Deadass giving Kikuo vibes with that accordion i love it sm.

Ohh. The instrumentals got so much better! The voices I feel like are more garbled and the reverb for Frye is eh. The first time she sung her solo I feel would’ve helped back up the vocals. But anyways I still like it either way! Cant wait for the big m ^^

I never really liked the previous ai vocals of this song.
This us a huge improvement imo. My only gripe is I wish Frye's voice was louder in the mix.

This would be amazing if she would make City of Color (2023). Color Pulse (2024), Tomorrow's Nostalgia Today, We're So Back, and all the other Splatoon Idol songs in the remix of FrostyFest! That one is my absolute fave Splatfest!

Lacking the original pizzaz sadly. The way that you originally had Frye sing higher (or lower depending on the mix) made it stand out and felt more like a proper "event" remix! The team did it with Anarchy Rainbow so it only made sense to change up the way they sing. I do really like the instrumental/mixing here though, it sounds better! It's easier to hear every instrument. Not much of a music person so I can't explain it but it sounds good!
Wish the original was still available, it was already done. I get not using AI (or UTAU) anymore but what's done is done.
Plus, to get into the AI debate, Splat3's vocals are different. They're heavily changed. Someone else already pointed it out but, for example, you can barely recognize the original VA when listening to Frye! Her voice was pitched up and the filter is so strong (which was pointed out since the beginning and criticized at some point) that it's essentially a whole new voice. Kind of like the iconic Animals Crossing voice!
It's definitely not as harmful as with the vocals from Off The Hook (& the Squid Sisters IMHO) as they're incredibly close to their VAs. I personally think that if the Deep Cut VAs changed, we'd barely notice from how much was changed whereas it was incredibly easy to pick up that Callie wasn't voiced by the same person, or simply not the same way, in the latest Deep Cut concert.
Again, I fully understand not using AI voices anymore. It's just that, for the Deep Cuts content, they didn't need to be deleted. The voice direction Nintendo went for Splatoon 3 makes it different from normal voice acting. Ofc AI is bad, it shouldn't have even been a thing and I'm glad to see you move on from that, but this is the rare case where I think it's fine to keep it uploaded. It also helps that it wasn't harmful content, it was still about the game and its content, clearly fanmade and proper credit, and was made for fun. It was far more respectful than most uses of AI voices.

I'm glad you actually talked more about the AI debate. I think the UTAU were made using AI? But my thought is that regardless of how harmless those specific ones were, it's still used with an unethical tool. Leaving it up could encourage others to use said tool. It's kinda like having a knife that's made of, say, baby bones or something. Leaving it up and saying "Hey, I don't like to use this knife anymore because it's made of baby bones" isn't gonna stop people from looking at the end product and going "Man but that knife really did work! I want to use it for my own stuff too!" Of course it's not exactly like that, this is a more extreme example, but yeah.
This part's not directed at you, since your comment's very reasonable--I'm gonna miss the originals but I feel like Foxx is currently getting swarmed with people saying that it's a downgrade, that they should go back on their decision, and I find that quite rude tbh. Foxx is also a human, and we all have the right to take down work that we're not proud of anymore, regardless of others opinion.

These are nice but if I’m going to be completely honest….I kind of prefer the original versions…. I understand the work and effort you put into the updated versions, but….I don’t know, the original versions just….hit that one spot in my head that makes it feel like i’m listening to if glitter and stars were songs. The newer versions don’t really do that anymore….
It would be really nice if you kept the original versions up, for both the frostyfest and the splatoween mixes.

The mixing is higher quality but overall I am disappointed with how these "enhanced" versions are turning out unless the older version (along with all the other older work that used to be on the channel) return. The voice work you made had their own pizazz from the in game versions, so it's sad to hear edited vocals. I absolutely loved the work you do with Frye more than what Nintendo does with her! I'm just very confused on what direction you're going with your work and this concern comes from a fan, not a hater.
I understand that it sucks that they've been taken down, but I don't think there's any sort of quality issue, especially when they're just remixing in-game music. Their moral decision to take it down as to not promote more use of AI is a bit more important.
I've been a little uncomfortable with the amount of people in the community that have been using AI voice generation. Splatoon is certainly a less "bad" use case as it's further divorced from the original VAs, but the core of the matter is that it puts words in VAs mouths, so to speak. Better to not use it/encourage its use indirectly.
using vocals from the actual tracks is way better then just using AI voice replicas since even though its all filtered from the actual VA's, it's STILL real voices you're stealing and copying by using it. don't even start with the whole "its so sad to hear edited vocals". i dont think laura yokozawa or any of the other VA's would be happy their voices are being copied by AI.

Like with any other voices I'd be understanding, but splatoon??? Really? These characters barely sound like their voice actors over the whole editing and filtering I genuinely don't get it.
I won't tell anyone what to do or think, but I'll say it's a downgrade and I just would at least want to have the option to save the older versions
@@KnoxForRealsI 100% agree. I feel as though this move from ai is just a little dumb. It actually gave foxxzer some freedom, these “revamped” frostyfest versions feel like downgrades
I feel like it would’ve made more sense for foxx to delete their ai songs of the va’s of pearl and Marina. Now those were there real voices being used so it would’ve made sense.
