In this video, we have visited famous temple Shri Achleshwar Dham and Gurdwara Sri Achal Sahib at Batala, Punjab. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and kartikey Ji/ Kartik Swami Ji and dates back to Satyug. This is the place where Lord Shiva assumed the form of stone/shivling when devtas mistook him for demon Tarkasur. This is the place where Shri Kartikey Ji decided to stay when Shri Ganesh Ji was declared winner in the celestial race for the right to be worshipped first. Just across the road is Gurdwara Sri Achal Sahib which is dedicated to 1st Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and 6th Guru Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. In March 1526 Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji came to this temple on Shivratri and took dip in the holy pond. This is the place where Guru Nanak Dev Ji had Siddh Goshthi with Baba Bhangar Nath during which he enlightened him and his followers. Everyone irrespective of being Hindu or Sikh visits and performs sewa at both places. This place is symbol of Hindu-Sikh brotherhood which is also the need of the present time.
