Can I ask what this means? My 96 year old Aunt told me about my Great Grandmother and how she was a healer. This Aunt was on my Father's side. The Great Grandmother was on my Mother's side.
I will make this as short as possible. I lived 3000 miles away in Oregon. I moved back to TN to our old Home Place. When we decided where we wanted to put our house we put in a driveway. As the septic system was put in a young Eagle flew into the white pine at the end of my driveway. As we continued to work on the site, the Hawks circled overhead. Then, when the house was up, we didn't yet have the porch on, I stepped out and a Red Fox was standing 25 feet or so from my front door. I always thought they were welcoming me. This was in 1994. I used to walk to my Aunt's house. Our Family Cemetery is not a mile, as the Crow flies, from my house. My Mother's Family Cemetery is about the same distance, just in the opposite direction.

A fellow "listener" I've had similar voices. After my aunt died I heard my deceased grandmother tell me that Aunt had safely arrived in heaven. It was like she was talking to me over the fence.

Wow, I often feel a need to move to the East Tennessee/Western North Carolina area.
My mothers family is from Sevierville, even have an area named after them.
My husbands and my own distant relatives are from the WNC area, all the way from back in the 1700's and many direct ancestors fought I the Revolutionary war out of NC.
One of my Sevier County ancestors ran away from the Trail of Tears into North Ga, and here we have been ever since.
The Smokies call to me, and even more do the NC Blue Ridge Mountains.
There's plenty of us that know what you're talking about and don't think you're crazy ❤️

I very much appreciate exactly what you're saying💕. It was the same for me when I decided to leave my mountain home in upstate NY to move to N. Ga 13 years ago! Many people asked me how and why I would make such a big move? I could only say, my God and my spirit are showing me a wonderful life in the South. No regrets ever! I truly came home💕

I understand this completely. Im following my ancestors as well. I hear their voices at times too. I also see signs through the animals and nature. Our family has been homesteading in the US since the early 1700's. We've been building our own homestead here in west Tennessee for the last 4 years one plank at a time. All's I can say is that this life style is like "going home" somehow. Thanks for the heart to heart. 💕

I absolutely believe in your ancestors speaking to you! I am feeling a strong pull back to farming- my dads generation was the first to leave farming after many generations of farming in central NJ. My hometown is not the same, so I am looking into East TN. I am almost 50 and my kids are grown, I need to get back to the land! 💕☀️ Currently in Phoenix AZ where I have a very difficult time growing things....

My husband and I looked at places for several YEARS. We lived in a subdivision, not by choice. Nothing ever planned out. Eventually we figured out why.
Starting our 5th spring planting on his parent's farm, living in a home they designed and built on a great piece of land. For my husband it was "home".
We had two farmers come by this weekend to do an inspection (we are now Certified Naturally Grown!). When they made it up to the house, all they kept saying was WOW. :) The pride in my husband's smile made it all worthwhile, even if the ocean is too far away ;)

"As many as are led by the Spirit of God are the sons/daughters of God." I fully understand, and have been guided by the Spirit for 30 years or more. Your spirit heard the voice of the Spirit and you were obedient to follow!!! SO HAPPY for you and yours. Keep listening it usually comes in quietness when we aren't expecting anything other than going about our day. Usually the Spirit speaks softly and sometimes I think where did that come from, did I imagine someone spoke to me?

Living where your roots are is so important!! I could never move away from here...my great grandparents are long gone, my grandparents are gone, and my dad(my only “real” parent) is gone....but it isn’t necessarily about your living family. We live in a place which is 5 generations deep...I always tell my kids, this is where our heart is.
Everyone especially the younger kids today should reclaim their roots and know their history. Learning everything about your past and family history is a honor to know. I have been battling that voice too. But it's like we aren't ready yet because we haven't found anything yet. But soon I do believe we might have a new homestead to start on all over again. if only we could win some money, however we must trust God and his guidance even when sometimes we don't listen. We had our oldest daughter pass away Oct. 21, 2017 and we were about to sell the property we live on now if we couldn't move on it we were going to sell it. However all the funds etc came up for us to be able to move onto our property. I do believe is was spiritual guidance and God guiding us too. I loved your story on fining your NEW VIEW!!!!
Spirits guide me everyday now and ever since I started listening to them, life has gotten a whole lot easier and I really needed that since as you know Patara, as we start getting older, things aren’t as easy as they used to be so if folks think I’m crazy for following my spirits lead, then I’m very proud to be that crazy old guy with the beard that grows and sells his veggies down the road. Life has become so much easier in every aspect since I started listening and I’m never gonna stop!!

When we were house hunting we looked all over between 3 different countys. When I pulled into the driveway for the first time of my now home. I felt just a rush of emotion. After we were all moved in and my Gramma came to visit. My gram says well it makes since. I said why? She says well your great Grandma is burried just 15 min from here. I was blown away I had no idea she was so close. She had passed away in my early teens but I always felt drawn to her. Im so excited for you and your family and wish you the best 💕

Amen Patara. I have felt the same way. My family is in Sicily. I’ve walked the streets they walked. My heart will always be there, but we have decided to buy a 100 year old log home in Bristol, TN. I prayed and that’s where God wants us. I don’t know why, but I listened to His answers.
