Do’s announcement was perfectly appropriate. The banter about spelling Quantrell the same way was done. There’s often a vibe, when addressing Do, of genuine contempt and lack of respect for him. Why is everyone always negative towards him? It feels fueled by genuinely negative subconscious feelings rather than humor (exception is how the group always seems intending to create humor at his expense). Why was no one’s instinct to celebrate his small fasting victory with him? He hadn’t interrupted anything and everyone actually interrupts eachother all the time, especially Kevin, without the room turning against them. A person can only take so much lowkey disdain and belittling and lack of support. Rewatching this with so much more awareness and clarity.
