    I would have LOVED to show more on using this to do caster and camber settings, but I've been spread pretty thin this week with Christmas coming etc. I promised a video- I'm posting what I can. Next week Wild Card Wednesday video will be on the new Escort MAX 360 radar detector system. They sent me one to test. I was surprised how far the tech has come with the app mapping etc. now. Pretty cool new display and arrows like the Valentine- finally! It's pretty big with two sensors and it's expensive, but it is pretty user friendly and advanced in self learning and weeding out squawky false alerts. Stay tuned!

    I bought a cheaper one that turned out to be a pile of crap. $55 ain't bad. Heck, that would come in really handy with my Colt's front end alignment and bump steer measurements. I might get one? Thanks Brian!

    4:26 my friend im pretty sure the manual at this point is referring to the dxl360S/C models which has the extra angle functionality. that one is red not yellow like the std dxl360. the manual shows this at 5:26

    i actually bought both a DXL360S and a TLL-90S to try for camber adjustments. we'll see how they compare when they get here.

    Do you have a video showing how to use and calibrate this instrument? I thought I was fairly intelligent with this type of thing but I really can't understand the manual that came with mine. It seems to me that whoever wrote the manual thinks in Chinese and translated it into English. It would have been better if it was written by someone whose first language is English.

    Hey its the DXL360s model which has the angle button and can measure anywhere

    hey Bri, would it work as a dial indicator when torquing bolts in degrees (if you mounted it to a ratchet)?

    • @patw52pb1

      +Speedstack21
      No. This device measures degrees of inclination not degrees of rotation.
      Torque to yield needs degrees of rotation.

    • @briansmobile1
      @briansmobile1  Před 8 lety

      +patw52pb1 It actually DOES measure degrees of rotation as well. It would be difficult to have it on the head of the ratchet and it's probably not going to save time on something like that if you're me and aren't creative enough to think of a way to secure it.

    • @briansmobile1
      @briansmobile1  Před 8 lety

      +patw52pb1 All that calibration song and dance was to calibrate the internal gyro so you can measure the degrees of rotation.

      Wow, Roger that, I stand corrected.
      Does the unit measure degrees of rotation in all axis and planes?
      Does the unit perform simultaneous compound angle/degree measurements?
      Is the measured degrees of rotation continuous or would the unit need to be zeroed before each rotational measurement?

      +Speedstack21 Google ATECH2FR100B, it's the 3/8" version of a cool torque wrench. Torque, angle, and a cool mode called "torque-then-angle" where you get to do both in one motion.

      +Jason Curry I know right? Seems like radians would be better than millimeters per meter.
