Road Rage vs. Motorcycle - Biker Run off the Road

  • So I merged in front of a VIP driver. Who decided to take their rage out on me by trying to run me out of my lane / lane split past me. I was forced off the side of the road at one point. No issues though - because I practice lane splitting…
Dropped back - then said hello before using my speed to create distance (safety).

I am allowed to merge at any point. Nobody is being “cut off”. They don’t own the space between them and the car in front of them. That’s my space to merge into.

@@SeattleSpeed There is no way that you can justify barging in front of the subie when there was plenty of space that was (((safer))), and more space, behind the subie. Where was the NEED to get in front of the subie, when you could have merged in behind it safely? Don't bother, you can't answer that.
Would you have done the same thing to a state trooper? No you wouldn't, because you know better.

And I see you drive around Seattle bullying people in cars because a motorcycle deserves to be treated like it is glass. You can "merge" whenever you want to but if a car pulls out into the roadway because you changed lanes, they weren't allowed to and you're going to follow and cuss out an entire family full of people because they were not allowed to pull out into the right of way because you don't think that they should. In the name of safety you decided to piss him of some more. You got what you wanted. You're right, he didn't own the spot in front. Is it worth being "dead right" ?. You "said hello" to antagonize him more. A very safe idea!. You didn't accelerate to "create distance (safety)". You just wanted to get it front of him again, cos you thought that would make you the winner.

@@SeattleSpeed Incorrect. I ride, and I take that offramp at time. You have no requirement to merge where you did - your lane does NOT end - you could have kept going and gotten on to westbound 522 instead of cutting that SUV off and forcing your way over to eastbound 522. It is ENTIRELY the responsibility of the person doing the merging to merge safely. No one HAS to let you merge. SO many people run that left lane down to the split and then force their way over - it's dangerous. Merge earlier when there's room, or turn on your blinker and hope someone let's you over later, or take the left lane and go turn around.

So you sped past a much larger gap to merge for your exit to squeeze into a smaller one, and then after you were "Annoyed-but better safe", you matched speed with him to confront him, and THEN cut into his lane, forcing him to move to the shoulder. He should definitely not have sped past you on the on-ramp, but there were a lot of things you did wrong as well.

@@SeattleSpeed Enough about the lane splitting. At the very start of the video you bypassed a very large space to merge into the exit lane to pass that car and squeeze into a smaller one, which caused the rage incident to begin with. Not excusing his actions on the exit ramp, but then you further egg it on by stopping by him to yell at him and cut him off, forcing him off the road so you don't collide with the front right of his car.
Long story short, you broke at least two laws in this video. Regardless of YOUR OPINION (which the law cares about less than you care about my opinion, by the way), if the law is in place, it has to be followed. There are several laws I don't like, but until they change, I obey them.
But whatever, keep aggravating people on the road and thinking you're in the right until one day you make that mistake on the bike and become a meat crayon. See how THAT opinion feels to you.
