Joao's potential is off the charts, just look how often he get's in behind for a clear shot.
Now yes his finishing does need to improve but look how close his misses are, he doesn't sky them over the bar but instead hits the woodwork. That means that he only has to make the slightest adjustment to start converting those chances, bringing his shots in by an inch or two which is a pretty easy change to make compared to other players who have to rework their entire shot. We already saw this against Everton, he generates a beautiful shot between the CB's legs that most other forwards wouldn't have even tried and this time round he just took the slightest bit off it and sure enough it bounced off the post and in rather than out. I expect that goal was the direct consequence of him working on his shot with Potter and the other coaches. Many great forwards have struggled with finishing early into their careers, modern legends like Benzema and Giroud didn't fully hit their stride until their 30's but seeing how painfully close Felix keeps getting I'd expect him to reach 20 goals a season sooner rather than later. That is assuming he leaves Atletico which seems to be a poor environment for him and most likely has damaged his confidence, luckily recent rumours suggest Madrid are bringing down their asking price to €80M which seems affordable for Chelsea.
Now his near to Barcelona, for me the best option for him, hope that FCB signs him in permanently deal

@@T-19- It sure looks that way at the moment. Felix reading Lewandoski’s runs really well too. And he is a joy to watch when he has that freedom on the pitch to showcase his playmaking skills (similar to what Neymar did at Barca).

I think the problem he had in atletico Madrid was the coach's tactics. Simeones tactics are parked the bus and go off counters and I don't think that suits Felix that much in terms of opportunities and attacking prows he does have the speed for it

The best thing for his career would be to return to Benfica 🇵🇹.
It would be the best club to relaunch. Not only because Benfica was his best spell as a footballer in terms of performance, because it is a club that is in the Champions League and made the Champions League that it did last year (taking first place in a group with PSG and Juventus), as well as Finally, Benfica could give him an interesting window for the 2024/2025 market window and that could eventually lead to a nice deal for Atlético de Madrid, because Félix, returning to Benfica, I believe he will have or would have a income equal to the one he had on his last visit to the Lisbon club and even much better. If you say he doesn't do defensive work then you definitely don't watch him play....and btw that's not even his job.
