the old generation don't really know indonesian language.
in my place central java, everyday we speak lokal language, some time we mix with indonesia language, to teach our children, in school use indonesia language.
but java language also got different tipe.

Wonderland Indonesia 3 will be release as a movie, as far i know it will be on 3D so they must research like this to get details story, culture and landscape. If you ask about the tribe yeah there is so many tribe type in Indonesia, some of them maybe they just speak their tribe language and don't want to disturb by the outside but the other tribe maybe more like to open, some of them also can speak Indonesian and have communication to outside.

Indonesia is a country that was formed and united by language, namely bahasa Indonesia, therefore we Indonesians refuse to equate bahasa Indonesia with Malaysian Malay, because Indonesian absorbs a lot of vocabulary from 715 regional languages from 1340 tribes in Indonesia, so it is Indonesian. It has developed further than Malaysian Malay and has a much larger vocabulary. For your information, 1340 tribes in Indonesia with 715 regional languages are united by one language, namely bahasa Indonesia, so from Sabang to Merauke all the tribes in Indonesia can speak bahasa Indonesia

13:42 Bahasa Indonesia is indeed a lingua franca for Indonesian. Yet, not all people learned it well, mostly the elder generations. But, some tribe's chiefs speak Indonesian quite well. For most of the young generation, there is no more barrier for one to speak or communicate with other tribes. They all learn Bahasa Indonesia in school.

Doesn't matter if you live in the middle of the jungle, smallest village or far away island.
If there is school on that area's it mean people 100% can speak Bahasa Indonesia / Indonesian Language. And of course they still use their Etnic language for daily conversation.
For example : i use Makassar Language ( one of etnic language on Indonesia ) for daily conversation but when i know those people not from my city then i change it to Bahasa Indonesia for conversation.
Mostly Indonesian people know 3 languages. ( Etnic language, Bahasa Indonesia, and English )
