Don't you think that if women were actually lower paid, then companies would hire women only? That is the most logical option I think. Actuallly the possability of lower wages for woman are so hard to justify. It's less likely to be experienced in the 'western world' than in the 'eastern world' which is obviously such a generalisation but still understandable. The paid discrimination (as any others) in many countries of the 'western world' is actually a crime that is punished by the law. In Poland fe. is but many polish feminists aren't likely to belive in it. Becuase it's not comfortable to admit they are wrong, nothing special. I personally think (and I'm trully convinced that it's the only true) that women are being paid less beacuse they just doesn't know their value as a workers. Additionally they are not really conscious how much they can really earn on their jobs, simply unlike men are. More, they are not applying for a paid rises as often (I would say way more rarely) as men. So my message for any woman in the 'western world' would be- Value yourself, care for your self development and take responsability for your life. Noone is going to fix your problems for you.
