This is great info, Bob. Exactly what I was looking for. I've been doing amateur arm-wrestling for three years but not enough table time to learn these lessons. I'm going to try this in Cheyenne next week. Thanks!
I like that your videos are short and straight to the point. So many other CZcamsrs drag the videos on for content. So you have to listen to all their bullshit stories just to get to the technique of Arm Wresling. Keep making these straight to the point Arm Wrestling videos. 😊
Everything u said sir i agree with except about when u said u can lift more weight with back pressure with droping down with body than keeping the angle and draging back .. i definitely can lift more when i drag at least 5 kg difference
Hey Bob, that‘s all nice and good info but… What advice do you have for the shorter guy after the tall guy gains his height back and rolls the shorter one over just like you showed. There needs to be an explanation for the shorter dude to escape also right? I always slip out of the king‘s move my training partner puts me in but in the straps then i can‘t seperate my palm from is so i just get crushed just like you showed . Thanks for the good content and explanation bob. Greetz from Germany 🇩🇪
Uh dump your wrist, commit your frame and press him or take the L basically. Unless you just have so much strength to wrist curl him back to you that's the only option you really have.
I am surprised here. I thought the ability to drag and move your elbow backwards was always greater than the ability to hammer curl. Even Larratt explains it in the Hook Wal video. Maybe it is a different application?
Lat beats bicep for backpressure assuming hand is strong enough / or you have strap. But back pressure isn't the only thing at play, when arms are different lengths pivoting off the elbow creates tremendous up pressure which attacks the shorter arm guy's wrist.
Wrong. If strengths are equal then the shorter arm guy with already be in a advantage at the beginning and the longer forearm won’t ever have a chance to use there riser. I’ve seen this time and time again. This video is not correct. Shorter forearm is better for rising period
probably, the shorter arm can basically have his arm pointing up into the sky like a arrow, while the longer arm has to drop down a little @@stevelleremy1685
It depends on the set-up a lot and just how much height the tall guy is forced to give up. If this were true then guys like matt mask and devon larratt wouldn't be such effective toprollers. Having that long forearm makes the setup SO uncomfortable for people with shorter arms you saw that actually with both of them against ermes. Sure if the taller guy is just being nice and come all the way down in the setup the rise is disadvantaged, but not if they know what they're doing in the setup.
@armoredg1497 then what I said is still true lol it's extremely set up dependent when there's a big disparity in forearm length. Whoever gets the more advantageous setup wins, even more so when they're close in every other category. There's a video out there of milo larratt pulling Gabriel young and you can tell it's completely dependant on how much height milo loses in the setup. When his arm is pulled forward more Gabriel's side pressure is too much, but when he has a slightly better angle he totally opens up Gabriel's wrist and he takes control.

It was perfeclty clear, and makes a lot of sense, thanks Bob!
Thank you for this helpful video!! Keep up the good work!
That is the best technical explanation of top roll application as it relates to arm length out there.
Excellent video. Just what I needed
This answered many questions I had. Thank you. 💪
Brilliant, thank you
I respect you a lot and your advice is like gold. Would you make me a video explaining whether to put your thumb in or out. That's why it's better
Thanks for the information Auckland arm benders wrestling club new Zealand

Yes but you can do that and drag as well. You can be posted and dragging.

A press lane is the only place the shorter guy has the advantage once the longer arm regains the height
amazing
Devon Larratt does exactly this 4:52. He uses his arm length to post and gain height.
Very interesting
Minimum hight in arm wrestling
Thanks!
Could you please tell something about the tools/handles on the table (in case you already haven't)?

@@bobbrownfun Thanks again! 👍
So there’s no point to do armwrestling with a short hand on a long run.
thats y i always lose
i can never win, its unfortunate god created me
Long arm can do tht if his hand is strong enuff
6:41 My arms are long but my fingers small
not devon.....some how he gets high and streight

Only if you are strong enough to maintain height while doing so. Otherwise you’ll pin yourself.

So if the strengths are equal the taller guy is 100% condemned to lose against a shorter arm if they both are toprollers?

@@samk2407 Lets say both tall and short player has equal strength and equal table iq/technique.
