We all like fireworks that exceed our expectations, and Funke always seems to do that - whether it was the Kondors, fountains, or rockets they all went a step beyond my expectations. One of the neatest rockets I have had had a hollow whistling(non-pyrotechnic) plastic cap. They'd make an eerie sound on the way down. My dog would go fetch them.
    Another had small fountains that opposed the main engine on the way up. They had comet effects that probably cannot be produced by any other method.
    I wonder if they still make either.

      @HuibregtsePyrotechnics Před 2 lety

      In Oklahoma, (where I live) we aren’t allowed to have stick rockets either. Supposedly the guy that invented the plastic rockets had friends in the Oklahoma government so they got together and made stick rockets illegal in the whole state. This made it to where people could only buy his plastic rockets. It’s super dumb how that stuff works…

    Those fountains would not be out of place in a "professional" display.
    The stickless rockets seem to be as variable in flight as those with sticks and the chances of finding all the plastic seems low. It would be nice of the plastic used was biodegradable or better still the fins were cardboard ?

    • @tribalpyrotechnicsforrando2621
      @tribalpyrotechnicsforrando2621 Před 2 lety

      Professional stuff is often boring to see by me , most of them have too much choreography , too much uniformity , too much balance , maths and geometry , and a little creativity as consequence.

    • @DrRusty5
      @DrRusty5 Před 2 lety +1

      @@tribalpyrotechnicsforrando2621 I'm not sure you can have too much Choreography.. Either it is or isn't (if it is a pyro-musical it is sort of an essential thing to have?

    • @tribalpyrotechnicsforrando2621
      @tribalpyrotechnicsforrando2621 Před 2 lety

      @@DrRusty5 Often there is too much choreography. In case of the presence of music (which there is not always) , fireworks may go together with music in part , but graphically they can avoid the excess of choreography anyway , you can stray from the music rhythm , maybe leaving the apex part of the music as the part where fireworks follow music strictly , and even while following strictly there is no need necessarily to make equally distributed effects and the same effect. There is often too much harmony among shots and this takes to a suffocation of creativity. I prefer breaking the rules and give freedom to creativity , at least in part or completely , even more when there is no music. In most shows when professional fireworks are used , everything is distributed geometrically equally in the space , after a while you may be able to foresee what will happen in some moments , and I hate those perfect circles , also , I hate when the left side of the visual is equal to the right side. There is too much maths and geometry in most cases. After all the practical differences between professional fireworks and not professional fireworks is only that professional fireworks are bigger , last much time and go higher , therefore they are more dangerous , in some cases they are prepared right for that specific event and are distributed on the field some time before the exhibition , but there are also professional fireworks prepared in boxes and the 2 types may be even both used in the same show. Anyway they need the hand of professionists to be shot because it's dangerous for a not expert to use them. Professional fireworks are much more likely to kill a person who does not know its profession. Anyway to my eyes they will often get boring compared to a Funke good product , especially the most particular. Funke's purpose is both to make more ordinary things and to make more creative things , it is expressed with words in their official site and facts follow their words really. Funke is my favorite above all in any type of product , but there are also other brands I like pretty much , the tendency is that central and eastern Europe go better about fireworks , of course it is not an absolute rule.

  • @metsanwartija1979
    @metsanwartija1979 Před 2 lety +1

    Hello from Finland! Is there some spesific reason why Sweden has banned wooden stick rockets and replaced them with plastic versions, which are concidered more enviromentally unfriendly? Odd because wooden stick rockets are commonly sold here in Finland. Where is the logic in this decision? Anyone? @AndyThePyro?

    • @funkesweden8976
      @funkesweden8976 Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, there was two main reasons for ban rockets with sticks. First people whers shooting them carelessness so sticks falling down on houses, cars and people. If the stick doesn't separate from the motor it will picking up great speed on the way down. And the other reason was that a small group of people used them as weapon and shooting on the police and each other. Those rockets won't function if you try to to shoot them sideways, and the fins catching the wind much more falling thru the air. They won't harm anything, but they are of course not as good for the environment.

    AWESOME Rockets. Can I get them in the U.S.? As for the Fountains. They certainly had some power in them, but were kind of unimpressive by themselves. IMHO, I think if you added another fountain that had effects that included color and crackling. You could put the fountains shown here in the back and the fountains with effects in the front. Lastly, I can't believe how fast the Spinning Rockets went up. They sure seemed faster then most rockets I've seen. Are they faster or is it just an optical illusion?? Thanks for the Video.. :)

    What are the laws there regarding the use for fireworks for consumers? Here in the states no one besides licensed professionals can purchase and use 1.3g products. I know other countries have some 1.3g for consumers but it's limited I'd be curious to know

    • @allaboutpyro2549
      @allaboutpyro2549 Před 2 lety

      Here in sweden category F3 is legal to purchase and use by consumers. Maximum amount NEC is 1000 grams/cake. However, you are able to purchase compound cakes (2 or more connected cakes) wich means there really isnt a limit. The biggest consumer firework cake I have seen here is 5000 grams.

    • @Mariko_Switch
      @Mariko_Switch Před 2 lety

      @@allaboutpyro2549 we don't even have categories like the "F*" designation can you elaborate on those for me as well? All we have is 1 group. Anything is ground based that makes just a report is limited to 50mg of flash and than we have cakes/fountains with 200g and 500g and shells up to 60g and 1.75inch diameter for consumer fireworks

    • @namenlos8251
      @namenlos8251 Před 2 lety

      @@Mariko_Switch In the EU there are 4 categories of fireworks cat. F1 to F4. F1 are small fireworks like sparklers, groundspinners or small fountains. In germany they can be sold at the age of 12. F2 products are bigger like the things you saw in this video rockets are allowed to contain up to 75 gramms of NEC, cakes up to 500 gramms of NEC and fountains up to 250 gramms of NEC. F3 contains the same kinds of products, but they are allowed to contain more NEC. F3 rockets can contain up to 200 gramms of NEC and fountains up to 500 gramms, but in this case im not very sure. F4 products are only allowed to sell to people who have a license. All shells are F4, so consumers in europe are not allowed to buy shells. Also basically every product, that contains more NEC than F3 products is F4. In other words F4 is only for professional use.

    • @Mariko_Switch
      @Mariko_Switch Před 2 lety

      @@namenlos8251 awesome great explanation so here in the states we can have shells up to 60g but nothing in your category f3 only up to 500g of NEC. So we go by all. 14g is consumer and all 1.3 is pro. We do have a small 1.4g pro or articles of pyrotechnics which is a Grey area between consumer and pro that can only be sold to consumers by a facility that approves them. The 1.4g articles of pyrotechnics have more NEC than normal 1.4g and almost all have electric match firing only.

    • @namenlos8251
      @namenlos8251 Před 2 lety

      @@Mariko_Switch I would also add, that restrictions regarding the different categories vary between different countries in european union. For example F2 in germany is only allowed to be sold in the last three days of the year. In Poland, Czech and Austria it can be sold all around the year. The same for F3. In Germany you need a special license to buy this kind of items. In countries like Poland, Czech, and Spain they are allowed to be sold to everyone. And then some countries banned particular kinds of items. To give some examples in germany bangers with flashpowder are not allowed in F2 and rockets are limited up to 20 gramms. In the netherlands all rockets and bangers were banned and in sweden like you can see in the video, stick rockets were banned. And then there is a special case regarding switzerland. As switzerland is not part of the european union they have some different laws regarding fireworks. For example consumers can buy there rockets, that according to EU law would be classified as F4.
