I feel like the biggest problem in terms of loot pool is people constantly about it. Every time FN adds a new, exciting item all the competitive players complain and then FN removes it from competitive. These players just want the classic loot pool which, may be convenient for them but itâs not that fun to watch.

You clearly have no idea how high level competitive works. You also probably have 0 pr. Just because you play arena and think it would be fun to have the dumb and fun items in them doesn't mean high level competitive will be funnier with those items. Have you seen Fncs Invitational? One of the best lan events they've ever hosted and it was with a lootpool with no crazy items. Just goes to show that this "Oh pros always complain" is because their income comes from doing well in tournaments so if there is an item that can instantly ruin your game and you can't even counter it you can see how that is frustrating and dumb.

yes, some items might be broken and do not belong in competitive but others are not but still get removed due to the pros crying. if in comp there is only the most basic and classic loot pool then it will *not* be fun to watch because everything will feel the same and quickly get stale. This is not a matter of skill

Honestly the best thing I can think of is raise the prize pool or distribute it more, also host more console tournaments for xbox and playstation well and bring back late game arena but actually make it good how it used to be an actual playlist and not a laggy creative map.

they make 5billion revenue per year but don't want to give the money for a ~40million dollar world cup. They just got too greedy imo and it won't change in the future at all if the management stays the same.

I love watching comp Fortnite so itâs really sad to see it going this way. I went to invitational and it was such a good time, and I think people who werenât there in person also enjoyed it. It would be great if epic gave us a roadmap of upcoming LAN events so we could build some hype

Killer summary of what's going on. With Epic still tonning it with in-game purchases, they don't really need to worry as much about the competitive side from a financial aspect - even though they should. However, if they fail to keep on attracting new players to the game (which is helped by streamers and content creation), they run the risk of becoming less relevant to other games (some of which probably aren't created yet). Competitions give the casual player something to aspire to and keeps them engaged.
The problem with game right now not having seperate loot pools in between playlists. I play a lot of fortnite and right now epic is catering to the zero build playlist the most so things they add are good for zero build but bad for build playlists and same with comp playlist
I want fortnite competitive to succeed but itâll be very hard to do that if both epic and orgs donât do something about it
I agree with alot of this video but it's also very hard for alot of the top players and content creators to stream tournaments we have all seen the clips of players like Ronaldo getting landed on by 20+ players in arena and even in tournaments they are still getting targeted loot pools also help alot the viewership was so high years ago cause we had a very similar pubs to competitive loot pool we have that now yes which hopefully means that viewership picks up again
the roadmap thing is a good idea, I woke up today thinking it feels like Epic Games are just freestyling and hoping we are happy with it. Nothing seems consistent (especially the storyline interests) and it seems like there's such a very lazy strategy (although I know they work very hard) that they are working with atm. I want best for Fortnite and everyone playing it, but a roadmap and stuff to look forward to outside of the collabs and skin leaking scene needs to happen. Like for example, First person mode.
This is a really good video. The pros need to pay attention. This is why sypher is as successful as he is despite not even being a crazy pro player.
Fortnite needs to revamp Arena a lot more. I'd suggest,
1. Adding Deranking system.
2. Minimum division should be champions division to play any tournaments.
3. Provide an ingame cosmetic such as gunwraps or emotes that represents the player's arena points at the end of every season.

Ik some might not care nor asked for this âstoryâ Iâm gonna share, but I used to go all in on participating in some cash cups or arena per season during ch 1-2 through watching clips of other controller players participating in them or showcasing themselves in arena. I knew I had the potential with how good me and brother were (at least until he played less, he still plays it, but not as much before and heâs no longer as good as he was during chapter 1), I just never took that opportunity to stream nor record since I wasnât familiarized with the process of recording/streaming, and at some point ever since the end of 2020 or beginning half of 2021, I havenât really done it that much and Iâve pretty much stayed at the same state of level and havenât improved, sure I had a few good games, but itâs like i couldnât get past a certain wall of skill and even through playing creative (and playground which is where the entire player base started to become sweated-prodigies), I still wasnât showing any actual progress, also one more thing to note was that even if I was somehow improving, I probably wouldnât still be noticed since once again, at that time there were many random prodigious players coming out of nowhere left and right.
So Iâve kind of just stuck with doing arena and going until the last contender league just for the wrap, and sometimes I will participate in some cups just to see if I might have some random spark of higher skill come out of nowhere.

Pros are not asking for a boring loot pool, they want a balanced loot pool. The problem with the hammer is that there are so many bugs with it including one where someone can get hundreds of floppers or another bug where they cant build and their movement speed is like crouching. There are some items like bouncers and shadow bombs that are wanted because its fun and balanced.
They should add more fun items like in the past but just remove it from competitive. Casuals make the game more then competitive
And thereâs another where they bounce infinitely without the âlimitationâ stopping them might I add. Ever since this chapter became a thing, itâs been super buggy and glitchy (even old gen console players are having issues with the whole random freeze thing, but Iâm trying to help them by telling them to turn off the record replay thing).
i mean you do have a point about how if Fortnite pros are not signed and Fortnite orgs aren't involved in Fortnite being a very bad thing for the player base of competitive. But this chapter I am not worrying for the mean time as the stats show the player base in tournaments is improving, for example in the EU solo victory cash cup alone there were 200,000+ players participating in the tournament.

Honestly I quit Fortnite 1 year and a half ago about to be 2 years and it was the best thing Iâve donât for myself. Now I play valorant and other fun games I actually enjoy so I donât care if Fortnite dies but I feel bad for the people who love the game. So I hope the game rebuilds itself (competitive wise). I never expected comp to be able to survive this long to be honest. I've been watching your channel for a long time and I'm happy for you that you've been able to continue to make this work for you. But you seem to be a smart guy and I believe you and your wife would be alright if you ever had to step away from gaming and do something else. I feel like there's a lot of other people who started as streamers really young and I wonder what other skills they have if they had to move into another industry. But it takes networking and entrepreneurialship to be able to make this work so I'm sure many of them will find some way to grow their brand in another way. If many creators work on a collaboration effort with Fortnite, maybe they'll have something going forward. The only reason Fortnite probably got so popular is becauae of streamers. Big companies are only investing in them for collabs because of Fortnite's popularity. If streamers move on to something else, Fortnite might not maintain that popularity and constant media exposure

Hereâs what I think: fortnite should listen to the community. ALOT. Like if the community wants the pump back, add it. They want the Chapter 1 map back, do it. When the community wants new things completely, make new things!
Always been the opposite unfortunately. The only update they gave us that was genuinely good in chapter 1 was siphon in pubs for two weeks (to apologise for mythic sword and turrets). I stopped supporting this game a long time ago which is a shame cus I really do enjoy it
I hope Fortnite will find a way to fix competitive better.
the most fun i ever had playing online tournaments were when we had mythic items like brutus mini gun and skyes scar and midas drum gun, bring back wonky op items makes the tournaments more exciting to play and watch, in my opinion, if you want an even playing field for comp go play games like cd and VAL like sypher said

Fortnite need to make more creative Competitions. We see the Lazarbeam competition which was just flint knock a. You had the trap tower one with Sypher. The pickaxe one with Lachlan. These are the competition I believe myself and the community both really enjoyed. We need more specialised and fun events. It makes a happy community and good content for CZcamsrs and streamers on a weekly/monthly basis.
Edited: Also if somehow this gets around to epic: please add zero build arena back! Please

The new solo cash cups were great to watch yesterday with only wins getting paid - not the best format for determining the best player but it was different, fresh, and games were stacked!

I think although this season was pretty entertaining for the most part, fortnite is finally starting to hit their downfall. Thereâs only so much they can continue to do with it, and competition wise, itâs just not as hyped as it used to be. I just think itâs unfortunately going to hit that decline phase.

Who knows I guess, but I just think after 5+years itâs gonna start hitting the decline unfortunately. Itâs fun, but the issue I have with this is how buggy and glitchy it is, old gen console players canât even play without the random âfreezeâ thing coming out of nowhere, the hammer has many bugs and glitches, and even winterfest/the MHA mythic was just removed early, theyâve never done that before and it just feels like this chapter has the worst start, chapter 3 had a better start with players actually liking it without any real issues.

I completely agree with your statement about what kind of game fortnite is (it's not as competitive as csgo, valarante). You can feel that fortnite was meant to be casual right from the start. They tried adding competitve aspect to the game but you can't really succeed in both directions if all the updates that are meant for fun gameplay affects competitive scene. You have to assign completely separate development team to maintain competitive side of the game (and completely different game mode where casual updates don't apply). One more thing: battle royal LAN tournaments will never be as frequent as they are in cs, valarante because of the player count needed.
One thing that is good is their are more players playing comp this season
A thing i always mention when people talk about a creative Loot Pool is Chapter 2 Season 7
Late Game Arena helped out with training and in total fun competitive Fortnite. But with TSM Mythâs recent tweet, we could be seeing a return to some classic competitive Fortnite.

Fortnite personally me being a competitive player. I love the game it's been apart of my life for a long time but honestly it's really dry and I have got to courage to hop on in a while . The updates are so boring. Theres nothing really new that or exciting. The tournaments are no dry and I feel like there should be LTM tournament. Like if they brought back the floor is lava or something fun and different like that everyone would be playing be able to get more rewards and skin tournaments would be also nice.

Fortnite makes more money from people buying skins and levels than they do from pro players. Makes sense they would make less effort with pro players and instead make the platform more friendly towards the average player since that is their biggest market
