    That's... a surprisingly polite way of how to get the public to know "Oh damn, we're all going to die unless we do something!" I also need to comment on the crystal clear audio quality. The only siren I know that is so crystal clear sounding was the Sentry VR series, but that was discontinued shortly after it was released. Last I checked, only one installation exists here, can't remember the location though.
    Most electronic sirens in the United States do have voice address or even P.A. Systems, though most of the time, they just fire up like mechanical sirens.

      @aetd106 Před 9 lety +2

      Raidzerker This SEWS (standard emergency warning signal) was developed to warn of tropical cyclones (what you'd call hurricanes). It was expanded recently to cover other emergencies, such as the ones we'd encounter in the city (think terrorism etc.). That said it's meant to grab attention even in poor weather and at long distance, which is more like what tornado or air raid sirens are meant for, rather than to transmit data or grab the attention of people listening/watching a broadcast like the EAS tones.

    ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, that'll scare the sheeple all the way back to plymouth. that sound is designed to cause massive alarm. you cant use shit like that on people who are already on edge and in some cases terrified. they are not likely to stop running till they get to the piliga.
