Add some classic Shelby inspired style to your SN95 or New Edge Mustang quickly and easily with a set of Raxiom Plug-In Sequential Tail Lights. Used on Shelby Mustangs from 1968 to 1970, your modern pony will get a head-turning retro look with this easy to install and great looking upgrade.
When activated the turn signals or hazard lights will sequence from the center light out and repeat until switched off. When the brakes are applied, the tail lights will sequence once and then stay lit during braking.
The Raxiom Mustang Sequential Tail Lights Kit is assembled from state of the art electronic components. The kit includes two plug-in sequential units, one for the drivers side and one for the passenger side.
The Raxiom Mustang Sequential Tail Lights Kit is a direct plug-in replacement for the factory wiring harness. Simply reuse your stock bulbs for the brake light sockets and for the reverse. It's that easy.
If you would like a slower speed for the sequence of your tail lights to get that classic muscle car styling, combine this sequential tail light kit with the turn signal flasher seen above in the drop down menu.
This Raxiom Sequential Tail Lights Kit is designed to fit the 1996 to 2004 V6, GT, Bullitt, Mach1 and 96-98 & 03-04 Cobra Mustangs with the triple red tail lights. muscle.am/2YWP48U

I installed one of these harnesses on my 02 GT. For the most part the install went well with 2 exceptions. Both problems were with the backup socket. The bulb doesn't securely seat in the bulb socket and the backup assembly doesn't lock into position securely into the tail light assembly. I haven't come up with a solution for the bulb socket but I did get the assembly to lock down tight in the tail light assembly by adding an extra grommet. Both harnesses had this problem. I contacted American Muscle about this but they didn't have a solution for the "loose" reverse light bulb. I doubt that another harness set will solve the problem. One option is to cut off the OEM backup light socket and splice it place of the Raxiom connector. But then you won't be able to return the harness, of course. So far the backup bulb hasn't fallen out after hitting bumps.

I purchased the whole set from you guys and had a body shop install it. Emphasis on the “whole kit”. Not only were one of the led bulbs defective, the resistance equalizer/sequential turn signal module doesn’t work. In fact, the tail lights flickered randomly or didn’t work at all. Worse yet, the unit sent a signal to the cruise control system that disabled it. It sent a false signal indicating the brakes were being applied which turns off the cruise control. I found a mechanic in my area that has all the tech/diagnostic equipment to isolate electronic issues and pinpoint the problem. I paid him to remove EVERYTHING from American Muscle and reinstall my stock tail, brake, turn, and reverse light harness and bulbs. By the way, I purchased these parts a couple of months before I had them installed, so forget about a warranty even if defective. I’m not going to purchase anything at all from American Muscle for my 2002 Mustang GT convertible or from American Trucks for my 2011 Ram 1500, 2WD Outdoorsman 5.7 l (another bad situation).

I got my cdc sequential lights back in 2002 just after i got my 2001 GT. All still works well. Just had to replace the flasher module. Cdc does not carry it or the lights from what i saw a few years ago. So i have a mix match of cdc and raxiom module which works. Got the raxiom module from America muscle.com. thank you for having a great product on your site.

Used these for a while until my new edge was totaled.
    1. Very very easy install, top quality.
    2. The turn signal flasher modifier really does slow down the blink and it looks much better. It's expensive, though. (But everything in this kit used to be way more expensive 6+ years ago than it is now).
    3. Get Raxiom LEDs to use with this kit. Incandescent bulbs glow briefly after power is cut. LEDs immediately turn off, which exponentially increases the effectiveness of the kit when used with the signal flasher modifier. (I actually have a full set of 6 completely unused Raxiom lights that I didn't get to install before the accident).
If you want to see the difference the flasher modifier makes I have a video on it. It's old and sucks, but it's there.
Also, the harness is good quality. My accident completely destroyed the rear quarter panel (impact at 50mph). In order to salvage the harness we had to cut the wires to one bulb.. But soldered on the connector from the original harness and it still worked great. No real damage done, and sold it with the flasher for about $65 or so.

These are great. However, they do come with their issues:
-For one of your gonna use LED bulbs the sockets don’t held them well like the factory incandescent ones. My guy heated up the plastic where the bulb is held for a bit and that seemed to do the trick.
-The plug for the harness is a little tedious going in on the plug. It’s even worse when you need to remove it. Very hard to remove once installed.
Other issues stem from me having the Raxiom Gen 5 taillights. Well I wouldn’t really say it’s and issue but AM/Raxiom should sell a separate harness for those of us that have these taillights. They should omit the reverse socket so we don’t have to deal with it since the taillights have a built in LED reverse light. Just would make life a little easier.
AM needs more New Edge videos and less Eurostang ones.

I will buy a set when they make a kit that stops the brakes from sequencing! It should only be sequencing turn signals, sequential brake lights are illegal in most states and is also not how the newer gens tail lights work, these should not be on the same circuit. Revise this kit and it’s a sure buy for me!!!

I have to be honest here.
I have this kit) and I have an install video on my channel) and the kit is really a good quality kit. I love the way it works but I think the money that you guys charge for a signal flasher is ridiculous. That flasher should be 10 bucks at most

Where do you install the modifier to slowdown the fast sequence?

  • @boomerdc
    @boomerdc Před 4 lety +3

    what they dont tell you..........
if you use aftermarket LED bulbs, they tend to not work. no matter what you try. I tried incodecent bulbs, worked fine, but the definition was poor, then I used LED units.. well, after the hit and miss and trying of SEVERAL diff brands of LED it came down to this, they dont like LED bulbs, PERIOD.
you can get them to work, but you will play hell finding the right combo to get them to function, back up lights were also, hit and miss. took a few returns to get a set that would actually have both back ups working.
bottom line, stock incandescent, work perfect, ANY brand or cost of LED, its your dime...
I have bags of bulbs, of all costs, to prove my point..
