This is eventually the misery of support players in general. If you don't do what they want ( Telling you to play a specific champion, building specific items and runes/ EVEN champion spells ), they start inting and ragequit. Last night I was asked to bring EXHAUST because enemy team had 4 enegage chanpions. "Bro that spell can only do so much after laning phase." If the team wins, ADCs get honoured. If the team loses, supports usually get criticized. If you try any off-meta builds, they also ping your items and/or flame you ( Like this video. ) If you get way too many kills as a support while they have less, they start finding it as an excuse and then flame you. In most, if not EVERYONE'S eyes, support is a role that only buffs, tanks and contribute A BIT of damage. This is eventually the "standard" that everyone believes, and anything that doesn't belong to said standard would likely be criticized. Folks, this is 2024, stop being selfish. If you can't carry the game leave that to other allies ( inlcuding your SUPPORT player. ) Don't blame, ping items, int, or surrender if you're performing badly and don't get a lot of kills. Other players will fix and compensate for your mistake whatsoever. It will only reflect poorly on yourself being a toxic person.

If they die over time they also flame you as if you are RESPONSIBLE for their laning phase. If you accidentally miss a smite and let enemies steal objectives, flame. And if your camps are stolen without any assistance , they simply don't care and just sleep in their lane doing the same thing I said earlier.

I had a similar situation yesterday, played Karma 11/4/25 while adc Tristana was 2/12/9, told the guy to buy GA against Zed but was instead being told to shut up and stop ks 😅 I was like, you were dead before I could even join your random stupid fights 😂 I also got perma pinged when I don’t have “traditional build” on a champion. Played Oriana in mid lane versus 3 assasins (Zed, Katarina, Talon). Built ROA + Archangel staff + Crystaline reflector + Crown + Stasis, fixed up runes to include ingenious hunter & bone plating, managed to only died twice. Jax on my team laned with a noob Riven 1/11/8. Jax was full ap, although he had 14 kills (mostly from noob Riven) but he died everytime dealing with the assasins, gave shutdowns to Talon, made it even harder for us to go against them. But he decided to blame the one with untraditional build (ME). But in the end, I survived in battles, shutdown Talon and won the game. I notice most players have star syndrome like you said, they’re so driven by number of kills and don’t look at their deaths, not understanding how these deaths and shutdowns can lose games. People really need to chill and admit that they can learn something from each game. 😊

I think Thresh works against full AP too with Sunfire Cape plus Visage or Force of Nature. It’s what I build as Top 9 Rammus in NA to 1v9 AP comps. Thresh Passive and Rammus W make up for not building as much armor early.
Being support is hard trust me, cuz it doesnt matter how good your play if your team dont know how to play team work you just cant win and by the end of the day support will always getting blame 💀
@francodegasperi3814 is right tho. I've played more then 2K games as supp and I decided to try jungle. Always got that "jg diff" or "jg no roam" as 15/2 jungler from 1/11 adcs who pushed their lane all early game and got killed by enemy jungler cause of it. Definitely my fault why they died 10+ times and couldn't stop hitting enemy creeps to try make their wave push to their tower. I was blamed by 1/10 guys all the time when I tried to carry em with like 10/1/10 stat
One thing I am grateful for WR compared to ML is the text chat seems rarely noticeable in my eyes. Most of the time I often rely on ping rather than seeing the chat, so usually i missed out a lot of flaming or toxicity until almost at the end of the games :D But yeah most of the times I just ignore these type of people and focus on winning objectives rather than killing. At the end, just report them and move on to the next game. Which is why I like to open up my party for duo with strangers and most of the time I met lots of nice people that ended up we became friends.
Oh man… I love to play the game well, but I suck a lot of the time and I LOVE to get hyper carried… not all of the time of course. I am always embarrassed when I play bad. Playing bad is fine. It’s how you improve. I play bad constantly. But having a small enough ego that will allow you to not mental boom and afk, and also to just let somebody else shot call and play your role to help win is fine. I’ll take a player on a bad game that will meet at objectives and help team fight over a fed idiot who won’t stop running it down 1v5 giving shutdowns
Don’t be discouraged, I used to suck when I first got into Wild rift. But you just need to choose one role and one champion first, practise with this champ constantly so you get a hang of its skills (micro) and by doing this, you start to build up macro skills like looking at minimap, obj timer, pinging systems etc. and when I play a new champ, I always watch some videos first to understand the mechanics and combos. The problem with playing a new champion is not about their skill set, people tend to fight constantly and die over and over again. When I play a new champion, I mostly use macro such as wave management so I can get comfortable with skill cooldowns and how they work. I used to hate playing tanks or engagers but I’m so comfortable with them now. I hope this helps you enjoy the rift a bit better 😊
Nice to hear that saving skills for counter is viable from you. I do that a lot with Leona. People always cry that I should blindly engage everything with Leona.

Nami and Sona. Nami requires a good skill level, but learning her is worth the payoff. Sona is easy to get the hang of, and even the most brain dead teammates can understand "hug sona, win aram".
Does anyone remember if Broken did an in depth thresh lane phase video? Cuz I really like the champ but I always lose a lot of hp trying to hit my skills and just overall struggle with being proactive during lane phase wich results in poor mid to late game 🤔

I've been playing sett support for a while. I once was a top laner; I legit dominated my lane ( maybe not). But I realized being a good top laner and winning your lane aren't anough to win. Also realized that a champion that has a most carrying potential is ADC ( jugle is close to that). So I decided I'mma help them and we're gonna win pretty easily ( I did believed that). But unfortunately 90 percent ADC players mentality is fucked up. I always try to win early game that prevent enemy to get XP and gold. But pumkinhead ADC players don't follow up. They wanna farm slow and Scale for late game. Dude why choose hard way when there's a easy way. And they go afk, or troll or as traditionally blame me for gatting kill. What can I do. More I try hard more they troll🙂
Dealing with the same thing in gold. Only 2 things that are different between me and you...: 1. I'm learning Swain. Enough said. 2. The majority of the time my ADC has given up on my losing games was both of us dying to ganks, not being outplayed. I'm still losing a lot of games. The only difference is that im no longer filling for the team. No more jungling. No more going full tank. I have gotten my joy back despite farming more fires and SVPs. Everyone is screaming at me to build tank. Yet no one wants to counter build. Why should i tank if im going to be stuck in a 1v5 at the end? I'm not copying your builds simply because we dont have the same playstyle. Still, im hoping to get to where you are someday. Out of all the friends that I've made since season one has consistent hit GM as a support every season since day 1, and i watched him hit challenger last season while i was at my lowest. That's enough motivation for me to keep grinding.
Oh my, this is a real thing about adc. I was losing EVERY soloQ game this season as a support. And in the last game, I got so frustrated with it (we were losing) that I started just farming and defending the base while my team went on an unneeded aram fight, sold support item, stole a dragon, won the match, and had most of the kills and damage in the team and was an MVP. And what I learned (and what you were also saying) people just want kills and fight and not win the game. My match could have been so much easier. We had so many free enemy turrets, but no, FIGHT ARAM🤣 Now, I'm thinking of switching my role because I cant anymore 😥
i had one game in gold where i was like 20 0 zyra and my adc was 8 4 kalista. and one moment I screwed up and was about to die when she saved me with her ult. i thanked her and she just 👍🏻 and after the match she liked me. i realize that this is just normal behavior, but i remember it still because i don't see it very often...

Im not opposed to that mentality, but at one point ap nami starts doing more dmg with w from bouncing and your allies gave you more range so you could have done that.
Bro I ve stared this season in emerald 3, now Im in platinum, like I won 3 games from 26. This is the baddest time I experienced in WR. I feel absolutely powerless. No matter how hard I try or anything I do its just loses all the time. Especially with the new changes. Cant splitpush with "new baron buff" because hero now cant buff other lanes like. cant push mid with this freakin Dinosaur because my team just dont use it, or just running around like headless chickens, but if I use it myself I lose my champion's power. So basically push is not working anymore. And more of all, when I try to gank and leave my lane, my opponent gets "new buff" so basically ganking also punishable for me. This season is so suck I cant even explain how bad it is.

Right now wild rift is kinda becoming a dead game, I think that Riot definitely realizes that this +1 -1 lp system is a joke, but they still have to keep it in order to encouraging players to play more and more this game (especially for new players and noobs but thinking they better than Faker)
As a support main i play the game how i wanna play it , we need a tank? Well you play a tank then okay . Every single game adc players run it down within 10 seconds , how do you have 6 deaths in 4 minutes?? Why retreat into the river and die when you can move a few feet back under turret and live? Why charge into battle the first second without the minion wave and lose half health? Why roam as a adc and leave your support? You losing out so much more roaming than staying in lane. Why blame support for your 29 deaths? Just because support has died once 😂 I'm not a perfect player, some games i do stupid things , but i learn from it to better myself as a player, i dont flame others , i just change my play style.
Hey Broken do you ever have bad days when playing? Like days when you're just not doing as good as normal? Just curious because, while I've been playing a while and would think I'm "ok" at the game, there are some days where I am just horrible.
Can you do a guide on HOW to play alistar? Like positioning etc? I find I almost always die with tanks in solo queue, esp alistar since once you commit to a play, you often don’t have an easy way out unless flash is up.
I know this is old but when your playing as a tank(not a bruiser) what's the best ways to increase damage output/sustain and also health regen for tanks I know there's divine sunderer for ad is there something similar for ap (I know about hydra and it's ap equivalent)

The jungler’s version of this is getting flamed for full clearing the jungle and not camping a lane the whole time to get behind in gold and XP.

What annoys me most about this game is the fact that players almost never admit their mistakes. If adc made a mistake, then it's support's fault

Bro I ve stared this season in emerald 3, now Im in platinum, like I won 3 games from 26. This is the baddest time I experienced in WR. I feel absolutely powerless. No matter how hard I try or anything I do its just loses all the time. Especially with the new changes. Cant splitpush with "new baron buff" because hero now cant buff other lanes like. cant push mid with this freakin Dinosaur because my team just dont use it, or just running around like headless chickens, but if I use it myself I lose my champion's power. So basically push is not working anymore. And more of all, when I try to gank and leave my lane, my opponent gets "new buff" so basically ganking also punishable for me. This season is so suck I cant even explain how bad it is.

As a support main i play the game how i wanna play it , we need a tank? Well you play a tank then okay .
Every single game adc players run it down within 10 seconds , how do you have 6 deaths in 4 minutes?? Why retreat into the river and die when you can move a few feet back under turret and live?
Why charge into battle the first second without the minion wave and lose half health?
Why roam as a adc and leave your support? You losing out so much more roaming than staying in lane.
Why blame support for your 29 deaths? Just because support has died once 😂
I'm not a perfect player, some games i do stupid things , but i learn from it to better myself as a player, i dont flame others , i just change my play style.

Hey Broken do you ever have bad days when playing? Like days when you're just not doing as good as normal? Just curious because, while I've been playing a while and would think I'm "ok" at the game, there are some days where I am just horrible.
Can you do a guide on HOW to play alistar? Like positioning etc? I find I almost always die with tanks in solo queue, esp alistar since once you commit to a play, you often don’t have an easy way out unless flash is up.

I know this is old but when your playing as a tank(not a bruiser) what's the best ways to increase damage output/sustain and also health regen for tanks I know there's divine sunderer for ad is there something similar for ap (I know about hydra and it's ap equivalent)
