- Went to my Hometown of Cabo Rojo to visit my favorite and some might say best beaches in this beautiful "beachy" town. I visited Buyé and Playa Sucia/Playuela and the Light house of course. There is also some fishing involved and show you our Airbnb.

I was just there past week. LOVED IT. I stayed in San Juan but the beaches on the south and west of the island are so calm with waves.
Everything is beautiful in my beautiful Puerto Rico, and the cabin that was profitable was perfect for spending vacations on the beach, it was not very simple, you are on a Caribbean island, I would not ask for more, thanks for the video of my beautiful and beloved town

Was at Cabo Rojo last week. The hurricane really did a number on the trails. We couldn’t drive up to where you parked for Playa Sucia. The first gate into the trail was closed and we had to walk all the way to the beach (25-30min) hike to where you parked). There was so many more potholes and the roads were filled with garbage and water. But, the hike was worth it. So beautiful!
My Mom and Dad were both born there and they weren't siblings in the late 20s.

My favorite beach in all of the main island of Puerto Rico is La Playuela. I just love it. I love how remote you feel, and I LOVE having the lighthouse and the cliffs nearby to enjoy, too. I have to go to either Culebra or Vieques to find beaches that I enjoy as much as La Playuela. That said, I'm definitely more of a river/waterfall swimming spot kinda guy.
Im dying to go to Flamenco.

I'm sure you know one of the best beach bar and grill in Cabo Rojo, "Annie's Place." Every time I go to Cabo Rojo I HAVE TO stop by for some good ole fashion Puerto Rican meals.

6:50 I lived in Boqueron for 2 years in the late 80's. My parents had rental property business there. Being 18 I had a jeep with no doors no roof and would drive my jeep with new friends to this spot every weekend and camp for the night. (back when you could drive up to the beach). Then we would walk up the hill and over the cliffs climb down and sit in the pools of water on the side of the cliff. good ole days. We saw Haleys comet from there I believe 88'. Unfortunally after I left, years later I heard a great friend of ours was taken to this beach spot and murdered. Thats what I thought the heart was for.

Nice! Love it. Those are two of my faves in Cabo Rojo although I think Punta Ostiones is my number 1. Did you find the flag at Buye? There's also the puente de piedra by the cliffs of the lighthouse! Hope your foot healed up quickly!
@lifetransplanet Cabo Rojo is a Special place for me since thats where I grew up, yet I can't believe I have never been to the Puente de Piedra , seen it a lot in videos and online, , I guess Im always running out of time. Ostiones is close to my house, but not a fan, it wasn't too popular then but now I guess is popular cause Im seeing a lot of people hang out there. Went there last year. My foot is fine, thank you. My number one is Buye, always has been. I did not see the flag.

Playa buyé is the best and most beautiful beach in puerto rico excluding flamenco in culebra
Hola, me podrías decir en donde se puede y no s epuede pescar en la isla? Se necesita licencia para pescar? Si se necesita licencia para pescar, ¿dónde la consigo?
No se mucho , pero la gente pesca sin licencia en casi todas partes pero hay ciertas reservas naturales que no puedes porque tiene las restricciones. No conozco a alguien que tenga la licencia, aquí no es como en estados unidos.
If you're really from Cabo Rojo then you should know t's NOT "Playa Sucia", it's called "Playuela". Or others from Cabo Rojo used to refer to it just as "El Faro"(Because of the lighthouse). The confusion comes from "Bahía Sucia" that is behind where they harvest the sea salt.
Everyone I know from CR calls it playa Sucia and I always called it that when I used to live there, you cannot take away someone’s experience or question if someone is "really" from somewhere. Well you can, but it's rude. Even the internet and Discover Puerto Rico always mention playa Sucia . Thank you for watching though.

Helloooo, just because it's in the "internet" it does not make it right & there are many things on "Discovery Puerto Rico" & other pages about Puerto Rico that have been proven to be wrong. As a matter of fact there's a sign that the "DRNA" put up(They are in charge of the Beaches, forrests, parks ect) that clearly says "Bienvenido al Bosque Estatal de Boquerón, Playa Playuela"(that sign has been there for a long time) and there are even videos explaining the confusion between "Playa Playuela" and "Bahía Sucia"..It's very easy to look up.

What fishing lure was your husband using when he caught that fish? Taking my son in February and staying in Cabo Rojo. He loves fishing so that would be awesome to fish for us.
