Gen. Katumba Wamala officially takes UPDF command

The new Chief of Defence Forces - General Katumba Wamala - has promised to defend the integrity of the nation and lead the UPDF to greater heights. General Wamala was speaking at a hand-over ceremony where he was accorded the instruments of power by his predecessor - General Aronda Nyakairima.
The ceremony attended by senior UPDF officers was presided over by retired General Salim Saleh who described the UPDF as the 'Envy of the World.'
