Beth and Serena took a decision which is sensible but i am so disappointed she s not playing in the world cup, anyway whatever the new season holds i wish her many goals, much happiness and a continuing impact as a great role model
Beth has many attributes on the field and off it too, one of my favourites is her clear desire to help young players coming into the game, we all should do this, to use our blessings to help young uns,, what better way is there to live ?
I knew from the Euros how good Beth is as a footballer but seeing her interview she seems also a great person. I must mention that I love the accent of the interviewer which as a Sassanach I guess is East Scotand or at least a distance away from Glasgow.

I’m on a waiting list for acl reconstruction. I injured my knee around the same time Beth did but I’ve just been struggling with instability and pain since. Never thought I’d want surgery but I just want this over with. My life is in limbo whilst I’m like this; I can’t work or function properly. It’s constant and I can’t see an end until I have the surgery

Such a huge pity the Lionesses will be missing two of its biggest stars in Beth and Leah. I sincerely hope they do well without them and go on to World Cup glory. Cannot wait to see Beth and Vivianne back again soon.
The game has missed Beth these past months. Can’t wait for her to return. I’m not an Arsenal fan but Arsenal are the only club in England serious about female athletes. The semi-permanent move to the Emirates is a major step forward, you can guarantee 40-60k every home game like last season and it will be the norm.

@@itsjustmetho9331 both serena and beth agreed, that if beth felt she would not be able to play at the level she was in the euros, that implies the rehab is not complete, otherwise shed be out there. Im as dissapointed as you, she will be missed immensley, as the warm up games have shown I think. Why risk delaying her full recovery??, it serves no one
Could there be a case that woman footballers spend a lot of time in trainers but when going out wear high heels or platforms could this put strain on calves and legs in general?
I was surprised to see how happy she was ? Expected her to be looking more somber at not being in the England World Cup squad but she doesn't seem to care about anything except plugging her new book, very surprising???
