10 years later and you sir still saving people's skins. Really good job thank you.
I dont think, i have seen such an excellent explanation of extendible hashing ever before. Hats off!!!
My teacher took nearly an hour to explain this and confused everyone, you took 10 minutes and made me completely understand it. Thank you! I am now ready for my final!
I am not the only one from NTNU watching this before the exam in Data modeling and database management systems :)
U pass bro?
This video was amazing, I finally understand how extendible hashing works!
This is so much better than my professor who just gives a voice over powerpoint and points at random things with her mouse. Thanks for this.
till date this is best channel to understand the basic of Relational Database System
This was amazing! Thank you so much. You explained it better in 10 minutes than my college professor, my textbook, and 2 websites!
ex-cel-lent. best explanation of extendible hashing i've seen on the internet, better than my class notes by far. thanks very much.
Great explanation. I have wasted atleast 2 hours before watching this video to understand this topic. Thanks a lot!
I thought I understood extendible hashing before, but this cleared up many things in time for the final. Thank you!
Such a complex concept, explained so easily. Brilliant!!!!!
Such an amazing explanation Sir, thank you.
Great Stuff! The main benefit for this hashing is the amount of data needed to be rearranged is only limited to the buckets which are full. No other buckets are impacted as opposite to normal mod based hashing where all keys will need to be reshuffled when the N( number of bucket) changes.
I finally got a clear explanation about dynamic hashing , thank youu sir
I hope you are doing well sir! Your videos even though old are immensely helpful!
Thank you very much
Amazing video. Just watch this video and don't waste your time watching other videos.
thank you for the extremely clear and helpful video! i could not have done my algorithms assignment without watching this.
Wonderful illustration. A model of demonstrating complex ideas via example!
And I found the auto-generated sub-scripts are great too. : )
This video really saved my skin in a test I'll atend tomorow.
Thanks so much
thank you so much for such a great explanation.
Legendary Explanation
Thanks for your time, your video really helped me clarify the concept of extendible hashing.
Wow that was extremely helpful, much better than most lectures I've encountered in school.

You are the best prof..
Thank you, this video really helped me!
very helpful video, you should run for senator because you have that demeanour. Or a super-villian. Either career choice would be suitable.

This is very helpful. Thank you for the posting:)
thanks, you explained that very well!
Clear explanation. Thanks!
Teşekkür ederim Gary Bey.
very nice, helped me alot
thanks for sharing this :-)
is there any difference between Extendible and Extensible hashing ?? Because in my book they talk about Extensible hashing and they use the first 2 bits from the left. where as you use the right most bits or least significant bits. I am not able to figure out the difference and which approach to follow.
i like to to see deleting and merging. I have an assignment asking if its possible to reduce the global depth by 3 with a single deletion of an entry.
Thanks so much!
thank you professor very much
Great stuff, really appreciate it.
Legend
Thank you!
GOOD EXPLANATION! Thanks
Nice thing. Thank you very much
but how do you decide what the local depth should be for a bucket.
nice video!!!
Perfect than others
Great video, very helpful.. Thanks a lot!
Thanks. I got your point.
Damn, this is golden
that made a lot of sense :)
thanks very helpful!!
