But Jesus has the power to give us life forever. Dead come to life is about the dead in sin coming to life in Jesus. Then, this song became my son's favorite ; ) I love this acoustic version.

Something I struggle with as most of us do ever day. I know what your feeling and my prayer for you is that you search your heart, read the word and let God do the rest! If you are struggling, that means he is calling and all you have to do is knock. Praise God that is who we follow, all forgiving, loving, patient, never holds our faults against us once we repent. It's not that I need to accept Christ back into my life. (But thank you for being concerned about that. Truly.) I never rejected him. I've just been "dead" in the sense that: I'm done with life on this planet. I'm just going through the motions, day after day, waiting until I get to die to go home to be with God. But this song by Jonathan Thulin makes me think maybe I can live until I get to go home to be with God. But thanks again for caring enough to write what you wrote to try to encourage me. :)
That's true, People who have accept Christ in there lives and half of the people who are in Church are dead in spirit, It's not about that. It's about truly letting go of yourself and what you think you need/want and giving everything to God but truly and wholeheartedly. I was one of those people who were dead of course no one is perfect and we all feel distant from God but He is always there and he is the life that breaths in you!

I love this song! The message rings through my soul! Praise Forever to Our LORD Jesus Christ! I saw another version of this video that features Carmen and it tells the whole thing in the context of and old German Christian parable, reinvented. Honestly I have never seen any mention of that parable outside of families of German descent untill now. I think that version is great for evangelism because a parable is easier to receive then the truth straight up for some people. At least at first. My fave line in the song is "my will is departed" 2nd fave "I am a foreigner, caught in the cross fire" let us always remember that we are in this world but Not Of It! We Are Called to stand Apart, to be Holy unto our GOD, to live our lives with Boldness of Faith that others Will ask "What is your secret?" Do Not hide the LIGHT of GOD!
