4k: Slow Motion Skimboarding With World Champions Blair Conklin and Sam Stinnett

- Sam and Blair go back to back on the best days of Shorebreak that either of the riders have ever experience. Between the two skimboarders they hold 7 titles on the United Skim Tour. Sam is a 4 time world Champion and Blair holds 3. Very rarely do both riders get to skim together outside of a skimboarding competition these days. Sam Stinnett has recently become a father and works full time as a fireman for OCFA. The time he has to skim these days is limited but his skills are still the same. It might not be as often that we get to enjoy skimming with Sam, but those sessions we do get together are that much more special, especially when the waves are like this. Huge thanks to Jeremy Whitney for throwing himself in to the abyss of Aliso to get some of the best GoPro shots we have ever seen. This day will go down in history and has set a new standard for good skimboarding conditions at Aliso.

That was so amazing! I couldn’t take my eyes off you! It looks so fun and you make it look so easy, but I know it’s not. I wish I could try. I have a chronic illness though, but watching you boys get hugged by the waves is pure delight for me. This was epic camera work and the music was perfect. I’ll be screening this on loop on my big screen for the spring garden party I’m planning. Aces 🤙

Incredible conditions, serious shore-slam that, so many thick slabs onto basically dry sand! Wish I had a fraction of the skill of that crew to enjoy such! Wishing the crew and all the magnificent viewers and commenters an excellent Xmas/holidays!

Classic Aliso head high to dry sand. This reminds me of all those Joe Bailey photos in SkimMag where I couldn't believe waves like this existed. And over time I've had the privilege of getting some Aliso days like this and getting absolutely obliterated up and down the beach all morning for 1 or 2 makes. Wouldn't change a thing
