There were new rules almost weekly about what lawyers could and couldn't do when Ramee was on his Lawyer arc.
Crane has it in for anyone doing anything other than mindlessly grinding.
@@Abrokensword my question was "in what ways CG were blocked". Your answer tells me of admins actually doing their job and balancing the server so there is something exclusive to civs, because otherwise it'll literally be cops vs. robbers for 90% of the server.
So no, this is literally the opposite of what you say. All those things give additional reason to have civs on the server and to RP with them. And they are not aimed at CG specifically.
Maybe if you play a "hardcore crim" (regardless of if CG or not), you should have somebody legit as a front instead of having businesses to yourself?
Also, crim activities in Np on avg look like more grinding and less RP. Stealing turbos, going to robberies without any proper RP around it, holding up cops (instead of RPing fear of cops), etc.

Not a big fan of this, not everything has to be real life. Sometimes people want to have fun and pretend to be something for a little bit. Personally I don’t like how everything needs to be a one to one copy of how real life works, I like rp because it’s an escape, not because it’s a second life.

To be fair, I thought this was always how it worked, if you didn't have your bar, you had to shadow someone who does.

Thing is, I don't know how much of this is down to Crane and how much the judges. When Suarez went to represent someone in court the other day, the judge told him that the PD shouldn't be calling legal aids but lawyers and only send for a legal aid when there were no full lawyers available. She said she would speak to PD about it. To be totally fair and, as much as I can't stand him, this isn't a new thing and I don't think its Crane nerfing anything as this is the way it was always meant to be, and indeed was earlier, with legal aids (like contralto for example) accompanying and assisting full lawyers like Solomon - just as Solomon acted as a legal aid for others before he got his bar licence. I think this should be laid at the door of the PD for being lax and screwing up - as per, rather than blaming Crane for trying to nerf Suarez's legal career (although it's clearly a bonus given how he clearly seems to want to punish and isolate suarez/remdogg)
That being said, couldn't Suarez simply ask Pred if he can be a legal aid for him?

I can see why Suarez is upset since if feels direct. To the ppl saying rp block, doesnt this add to his rp? Like instead of just being called directly, he has to rp with a lawyer as a paralegal trying to be a lawyer. I see it as adding more rp but thats imo idk

Adding restrictions doesn't add rp. There's already very few lawyers and that's why paralegals end up being called for cell rep. Now paralegals are missing experience chances so there will be less lawyers in the future. Give it a little time and I bet people won't even get cell rep because lawyers will be asleep and paralegal can't do anything.
I somewhat agree but also if paralegals are being called more often because they are out there being crims then I can see why there are less lawyers. Since most people getting caught just call their friends opposed to a lawyer that is bar certified waiting at the courthouse for a cell rep. Which is why they are prioritizing lawyers, doesn't mean paralegals can't cell rep if there aren't any lawyers.
This isn't a CG nerf it's literally how bar licence works... He has to work with lawyers to do cell reps and bench trials... Like an apprentice... You have to actually RP your way up the chain.
it's called a "CG Nerf" because CG, being the most active/known name on the server do things, and then something happens and it blocks whatever they were doing. I.E. K's real estate stuff, Ramee Lawyer stuff, etc
Suarez whose been around CG, does it, and now new legislation has been mad to stop it out of literally /nowhere/ which specifically blocks the rp he's been doing.
Up until this point, others have been doing this without any issues, and they told others to literally do it this way specifically, because lawyers aren't always around/they may be busy and stuff.
