I listened to what I believe was the original, & used the only other lyric interpretation I could find, to assist me here haha
The first 20 times I listened to this, I heard "weekend naked" instead of "we can make it", and "I'll ride" instead of "alright", and it's quite hard to unhear it personally.
The one lyrics I saw suggested "I'd love to ask him but" as the first line of the chorus, but I can't hear it for the life of me.
@ anyone watching... please comment so I can either verify or debate what I think I'm hearing LOL

In general, I like Lung Leg more than Franz Ferdinand, but Franz Ferdinand has had good moments, and I think they did a fine job of interpreting this song. Not everything has to be about who's better and who's worse. They clearly are showing love and paying respect to Lung Leg with this cover, and I think it's a good cover.
you should find out more info. Alex was not very respectful to one of the main writers of this song ,Mo. None of FF were.They were cunts frankly.

Lung Leg as in Elizabeth Carr? Lung starred in Richard Kern's "You Killed Me First". I used to go out with her in the late 1980s and early 1990s. I still have some of her art such as "The Throne of Bone".
+Nikolaii2571 She designed her glasses with three lenses, two for her orbitals and one for her Inner Eye. She also wears another pair of glasses whose lenses are made out of opals.
Nikolaii2571 Lung Leg was a really great lil band from Glasgow that was around in the early 90s. They only had a couple few releases and it is really hard to get their stuff in the US. Kill Rock Stars released a 10 inch combining two of their ep's, "the negative delinquent autopsy," and, "shagg the tiger." This song is from their one and ony studio album- it is the title track. I highly highly recommend this band- not very well known, but they're totally awesome!
You can get mint condition copies of Maid To Minx (the album) on discogs from their label. 10/10 recommend and accessible for those in the US too, I imagine!
