Cherry Blossom - Japanese Dance at Black Rock Center for the Arts

The Shizumi Kodomo Dance Troupe performed Japanese dancing and participated at the Black Rock Center for the Arts in Germantown, MD on April 17, 2010. See www.kodomodance.org for the dance troupe website. The artistic director of the Shizumi Kodomo Dance Troupe is Shizumi Shigeto Manale. Filming by Elissa Leif of MiniMatters, LLC (www.minimatters.tv). The music, "Echo of the Cherry Blossoms" was composed and performed by Joseph Jay McIntyre.

Does that matter? What matters is that they enjoy preforming something from outside their culture. Japan has a very interesting culture and history that should be enjoyed around the world, such as all cultures. I'm a white girl in Alabama and I preformed a dance from the kabuki play, Fuji Musume in my high school talent show. At first people were indifferent or laughing, but when I was finished everyone began to cheer and some people gave a standing ovation. I ended up getting second place.

Daijiro Kotori same i have always wanted to learn about the Japanese cture and the dances they always have away of drawin a crowd and making away of seeing things in a different way then we see things like dance and speech are just two things that i see differently now

I have a beautiful painting of the cherry blossom lady dancing it was found underneath another painting of a horse that I got from it is an estate sale I sure would like to know if it's worth anything or if anyone's interested in it
