Shantiniketan Sonajhuri Haat is in Kolkata now. It is located in the heart of Kolkata Newtown area near Biswa Bangla Gate. In this open-air market, many artisans have come from different parts of Bengal with their handmade products of Bamboo, wood, Cane, Jute, Glass, terracotta, batik work, traditional Kantha stitch work, etc. This market is open all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1 PM to 8 PM. If you want to visit a colorful traditional market in your city, please visit this market on any weekend. Pure cotton, linen, batik, khadi, ajrakh, kalamkari, and mulmul materials are available here. Shirts, kurta, Panjabi, saree, kurta, palazzo, wraps, blouses different cloths, hand paintings, wall hanging, artificial flowers, table and bed covers, handmade jewelry etc. are also available here. Must-visit place, nice materials with reasonable price.
Puja is coming, so I must recommend this place to visit. Haat will open up to December 2023.
